I had an extremely disappointing experience with Absolute Pest Management. Their traps failed to catch anything, and instead of solving the rodent issue, their bait attracted a ringtail cat, which created an even bigger mess. When they couldn’t resolve the problem, they simply said there was nothing they could do and left me to deal with the consequences. To make matters worse, their 'experienced' technician left the attic ladder open, allowing rodents to enter my house. Now, I’m dealing with an indoor infestation on top of everything else. This was an absolute waste of time and money. If you're looking for effective pest control, I strongly recommend finding another provider!

Sept 10, morn - Inspector arrived on time. Provided quote and gave very helpful discussion of his findings.
Sept 10, 9:54 - Called 512-444-0262 number to arrange service. Person answering phone refused to schedule appointment unless I sent in signed forms first. Said I could email forms and they would call me back to arrange service.
Sept 10, 9:59 - Signed form, took photo, send via email to [email protected]
Sept 15, 16:08 - Never received contact as promised. Called 512-444-0262 number to check on status. Person answered but was poor connection. Hung up.
Sept 15, 16:09 - Called 512-444-0262 right back. Rolled to voice mail, did not leave message.
Sept 15, 16:10 - Called 512-605-6611 number. Person who answered said they had no record of the signed form. Said she would inspect the emailbox and see if she could find it.
Sept 15, 18:03 - Received call back from an unknown 605 number. It was person from Absolute calling back, left message to call them. By this time I had contacted another pest control company.
Here are the things that Absolute did wrong:
* Incompetent handling of their 512-444-0262 phone number.
* Refused to book an appointment when I asked.
* Failed to respond as promised when I submitted the requested forms.

We had recently discovered evidence of a rat invasion but were not sure they were gone before we tried to clean up the area.  Nothing for them to eat there, but they had left a mess of shredded insulation and droppings all over room. They also had chewed up a lot of other fibrous items for nesting material. After we called to determine if Absolute could take care of the problem, an  employee came out to assess the area. He explained how the service worked and  why they had to come out every other day four times to set and check the traps (i.e., F-M-W-F.) This made sure all rodents were caught and none left to die inside the house before their entry point was permanently plugged up. The day after I paid, the office called to set up the four appointments during the same  two-hour time window each time. The same technician came the first three visits, which I appreciated. A second guy came for the last visit to pick up the traps and mend the hole. He explained that the materials he used, like metal mesh and a dense hardened foam, should keep them out "until they find another hole," ha-ha. We live in a very woodsy area and the house is on pier and beam, so it wouldn't be out of the question. It hasn't been very long but so far, so good. At least no dead smelly rodents in the house, yay, worth the money!

May you never experience the nightmare of bedbugs. The preparation for treatment is horrendous, and the treatment may not be successful. The folks at Absolute were very patient with us, educating us and answering our questions.  The owner even visited our house and agreed to give us a longer than usual warranty on the treatment.  Absolute was recommended to us by another local company for heat treatment.  They were cheaper on their estimate than ABC. When we did research and suggested a newer green chemical treatment (cimi-shield), they did research also and agreed to do it. We ended up going with cimi-shield and heat combined.  So far, so good; we are bedbug free.

The man who did the estimate was fine, although he called and asked  if he could come 45 minutes early.
He wrote up the estimate.  I asked if I got a discount because I was an Angie's list member.  He had no idea, but he did give me a 10% discount when I told him most providers did so.

I signed the estimate; he said I would get a call in a day or two to schedule.  I told him my hours of availability were funky, and he reassured me we could work something out.
A couple hours later I  got a call  to schedule, from a different person.  She started out saying  she was calling to tell me when they would be there.  I said I had very specific hours when they could be there, and I told her when they were.
She said she would call me right back -that was 4 days ago.
So I wasted my time with the estimate, and wasted my time giving her the benefit of the doubt waiting for a call back.

First of all, context is needed- this is my first home, I own it by myself, & I haven't lived in TX very long.
There was an infestation of wasps inside of my house, apparently coming from the attic & into one of the bathrooms. I called Absolute after checking out different rates/reviews of local places, theirs having good consumer ratings & their price being about average. I told the person on the phone, who was very friendly & polite, that I had wasps inside, that I didn't see any nests anywhere. He said they would send someone out to assess the situation & a very professional man came out, walked around the house with me, and said he would only have to spray the outside.  I said I suspected they were in the attic, he said it was not necessary to look there, he did look in the bathroom, but there were no wasps in there at the time.
Someone came back while I was at work, sprayed, & they called me to confirm the job was done & the receipt was left in a place I specified. This was convenient for me. I didn't have to wait around for them. And they came when they said they were going to.
Well, the wasps kept coming, 3 weeks after they sprayed (more than enough time for the treatment to work according to the first gentleman who came to assess my home). I called and told them & they honored their 30 day guarantee to come back if the problem had not been resolved.
A man was dispatched a few days later, this time I was home. He was also friendly, and punctual. I was home this time. THIS time, he actually ASKED me to DESCRIBE the wasps. I showed him a dead one. Said they didn't ever try to attack us. Then, upon the SECOND ASSESSMENT NEARLY A MONTH LATER, the technician realized my infestation was mud dauber wasps. I don't know all the different types of wasps in this area, I'M not a pest management tech nor a native Texan, and he said these wasps are not aggressive and will be gone in a month or so on their own accord. He looked around for their nests outside and said they most likely come in through the attic (Finally the professionals aknowledge my suspicion!!!) through cracks in the walls. He suggested I get sprayable foam sealant. He walked around the house with me & pointed out some of the tiny cracks where critters can enter the house. He was really nice & apologetic.
HOWEVER, the company still took my money & ineffectively treated my house. The wasps were not gone, They did a shoddy initial assessment of the problem. They did not even ask me what specific kind of wasp I had. I feel taken advantage of. I will not use this company again and my trust in home service companies doing right by a single female home owner have declined. Too bad, I'm not going to be as nice to anyone I pay to do work around the house any more. Expensive lesson to learn.

The manager called me after he read this review and apologize and refunded my money. I was impressed by the accountability of the company and them trying to make a mends.

I have been using Absolute Pest Management Services for 2-3 years now. They are very friendly and professional. When I bought my house, the previous owner had done a termite pest contract with a local guy who did not do a great job. Absolute Management not only took over his termite pest contract without charging me extra, like other were quoting. I also went with pest management contract with them.
The guys are very responsive. Due to the heat we have seen a rise in water cockroaches. They came by our house next day to set baits. They also gave me some valuable tips on where they might be coming from into the house which helped me seal those areas.
They are very good and I have had no compliants.

It was terrible but they did a great job, they were very professional and I just felt they really went above and beyond especially when we have questions after the treatment. The amount of service they provided, it kind of made sense that they charge that much. They were always available when I have questions and I was really impressed with the entomologist that came out to do the inspection. I did pay for what I got, I felt like it was pretty reasonably priced, I wish it was cheaper but I paid to have like thermal remediation which is extremely expensive treatment, it takes time and energy and a lot of time, so the technician was out there for 8 hours.

The process was good from beginning to end.  The price was higher than I expected or hoped, but the results were great.  They did the work in the time frame quoted and for the price quoted.  I am very pleased with all aspects of their service and quality.  I would recommend them highly and would use them again if the need arose.

Their service is great. They show up within the window punctually. They call before they come but I have to follow up to make the initial appointment. It has not been consistent and that is my only complaint with their service.  They are good about coming in between services free of charge when needed.

i told Patrick we needed nuclear-style pest control in our new home - under the pier and beam house, around perimeter, throughout inside.  heavy duty!!  the fella who came out wasn't wearing anything hazmat looking and obviously wasn't dressed to go under our house.  when i asked him about it he said they use organic stuff and he doesn't need a mask.  usually i am all for organic but let's not kid ourselves.  organic is just not as effective as the chemicals.  i called Patrick and asked for our money back because after a few days it was obvious the treatment hadn't worked at all.  He was really nice and asked for a second chance.  We let him come out the next Friday and Patrick himself did the treatment.  chemicals and all! and he went under the house!  second treatment = no pests.  we are happy overall with the way everything turned out and plan to keep them on for qaurterly maintenance.

I think they are very good.  They are also the ones who did it in the apartment complex that I have lived in.  They took raccoons out of the wall there.  That's the reason I called them.  They seem to be very professional.  Their work is guaranteed for a year.  If we want to continue having them come out and do things it would be $95 a year.  I think that’s pretty reasonable.  We tried to catch these rats ourselves, but they were a little elusive.  Our experience with them has been very good.  I haven't checked their prices with any others, so I have no idea.
