Today's visit was with Dr. Bump. I have been taking various rabbits to Kingdom Animal Hospital for at least 11 years. Dr. Bump and Dr. Lara are very knowledgeable and I trust them completely. I was worried my rabbit was having diarrhea (which can be deadly for rabbits), but he wasn't having true diarrhea and was in no danger. Dr. Bump told me things to look for that I hadn't been clear on when researching this on the internet. It turns out that today's visit was mainly to make me feel better and educate me about elderly rabbits' bowel movements. I always give them permission to be honest with me, and we always openly discuss treatment options. They understand I don't want to crazily spend money so they tell me prices and what tests they think are absolutely necessary. If I am interested in a test that they don't think is necessary, they tell me that, too. I tell them it is OK to tell me if I am not seeing that the rabbit is suffering and needs to be euthanized. In the past, when it has been necessary to euthanize a rabbit or a rabbit dies under anesthesia, the entire staff is very compassionate. My parents even prefer to drive three hours to KAH to bring their rabbits instead of going 45 minutes to their nearest rabbit vet.

We have been going to Kingdom Animal Hospital for several years now and use mostly Dr. Knight as our Vet, but all the Vets at Kingdom are very professional and caring and we have seen all of them over the years we have been going there. They will answer all your questions and we have never had a problem to be seen in an emergency or to talk to one of the Vets on the phone if we needed to and the Vet we normally see, is not there. The prices are very reasonable plus they give you a 10% discount on services rendered if you are a senior citizen ( excluding meds). All the Staff is very friendly and helpful and I would recommend this Animal Hospital to anyone without hesitation.

The provider was friendly and knowledgeable. She confirmed that our dog had a UTI and dispensed to us some antibiotics for which our dog is doing much better. Our dog was a new client and she was given a last minute appointment on a Friday evening just before closing. The staff worked patiently and diligently past closing to work up my pet dog's diagnosis. All the staff was very kind during the whole process.

They are very good at what they do. They offer exotic animal services, which I have used in the past.

I had a cat who was experiencing problems over a six-month period. I even mentioned to one of the vets during a regularly scheduled visit for this same cat about him having soft stools and did he think that was a problem. He told me "no" since there weren't other symptoms. Fast forward a few months later and my cat is much worse. I took him back in and they drew blood. The blood work indicated that my cat had elevated cells indicating he had cancer. They wanted to do more tests and I told them I couldn't afford much. I was told exploratory surgery would be the cheapest route. Stupid me! I didn't ask exactly how much that cheapest route was going to be or just how invasive this "surgery" was going to be on my poor cat! When I saw my poor cat after the surgery I completely lost it. He was swollen double his normal size and almost didn't recognize him as my cat! I was told he definitely had cancer and part of his intestines (several inches) were dead but that his cancer was treatable by taking medication. Since he had already been thru so much and they said it was treatable, I did elect the medication route. My biggest shock though was when I went to leave and got the bill! $650 dollars! I wasn't prepared for that and my reaction in the lobby told it all. I was thinking more like $200 for the surgery. Fast forward another few weeks and my cat is not doing well at all. It is very apparent he was in terrible pain and couldn't keep any food down. He started attacking and lashing out at everybody. It just broke my heart how much he was suffering! I had to put him to sleep a short time after that. Don't get me wrong, it isn't the first time I have had an animal get sick, be treated for illnesses or had it die. But it is the first time I felt that the vet's office didn't treat my animal or me fairly. I won't be going back either as I just feel the quality of care and service has gone down hill in the past 3 years. I have used them for about 15 years and in the past thought very highly of them and recommended them often - but I don't feel comfortable doing that any more.

I wasn't too impressed with their diagnostics for ferrets. They missed things and told me symptoms weren't a problem when they were warning signs that all ferret owners know to look for. They also don't do ADV tests. If you do Feline Leukemia tests for your cat clients, you should be doing ADV tests for your ferret clients. It's not responsible to ignore diseases and leave your clients without service or not tell them about a health issue. I like that they waive the exam fee when you get vaccines, but the vaccines are still overpriced. I refuse to pay $35-45 for a vaccine that I know costs them less than $5. The vet I used to work for back home only charges $15-20 for the same vaccine (before the employee discount). I'd love to use Kingdom as an emergency vet and my vet back home for vaccines, but they don't provide emergency services for non-clients. I've used their boarding services for my dog and was very upset. My dog came back skinny and hyper. I left a gallon bag full of his food, and they didn't feed him any of it. No wonder he wouldn't eat for them! You also cannot put a large, high-energy dog in a kennel for a week and not exercise him. I had asked for a runner and was promised he would be exercised. That experience is why I will never board my dog again.
