We never saw the contractor until the day we signed our mortgage papers. We dealt with his sister during the process who was prompt, courteous and sweet. She no longer works for him. Since our house was built we've had some issues and there is a warranty so we have to go thru the builder to fix them. The HVAC co left the manual in our HVAC unit and when we turned on the Heater burning pieces of paper came flying thru our vents. His sister was still with him at that time and it was resolved quickly. After that, water was streaming in our fireplace. We called him, with no answer. He never returned the call. So I emailed him with pics of what was going on. He never emailed back. Finally I emailed again a week later and he responded that he was trying to contact the ppl who put the fireplcae in. We kept trying to contact him for 6 more weeks until he finally had someone out to fix it. After that, our door started sticking and would not open, when we contacted him we never got a response. A week later a man was knocking at our house to fix the door. He never called or anything to let us know someone was coming over, and at 8 am at that! When I check our email(that I check at least 4 times a day) there was an email from the builder 20 minutes before the guy showed up!!! He refuses to call anyone to let them know anything and he is always rude when you do actually get him on the phone. A few days ago my oldest child came running into our room saying there was a bubble in the celing of her sisters room. It had been raining for a few days and apparently we had a water leak. We immediately called the builder and he actually answered his phone! He said to poke holes in the celing to relieve the pressure, so we did that and he said he was going to call the roofers and get someone out there ASAP. He never called us back or anything. We have called him 6-7 times in the past 3 days with no response. He for some reason can text a few things but he refuses to call us. He still has no answers or anything about the roof leak/ hole in our celing. Our youngest child is currently without a room and her stuff since its raining and water is still leaking into her room. Its frusterating b/c he is not contacting us and when he texts he acts like it's our fault. Im thinking that our biggest mistake was having him build our home. If we had only known what a jerk he would be when something needed to be fixed, we never would have done business with him. Beware of this guy. He is rude and I am so exhausted since I am having to find places for my children to sleep and he wont do anything about it. It is HIS responsibility to fix this since we are under warranty. Our home is only 1 year old. We should not have had this many issues. I just wish he would try to fix it and be apologetic that we are having to deal with this. A prompt respnse and a solution would be fantastic, but my guess is that wont be happening soon. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY!
