The Best Home Maintenance

Ted did a superb job on a wide variety of tasks. His company was very responsive, conscientious, and eager to please. His price was one-fifth of that estimated by a much larger company that sponsors a weekend home improvement show on local radio. Quality was excellent. I highly recommend this company.

It was a husband and wife team. They didn't even have a ladder. They came in and I showed them the mirror. They went back out to their vehicle to grab their tools. The wife was telling him how to do things and seemed to be fooling around. He asked if everything was OK. The mirror was totally crooked. It was on the back of the door and it wasn't even. He said the reason he hung it that way was so I wouldn't need to lean to the right. I thought, well know I have to lean to the left. A mirror should be hung so you can stand straight up and look in the mirror. He went to re-measure the door and was doing it while the door was swinging open. I told him he should shut the door so it would be accurate. They had so much difficulty with the mirror. They didn't even clean the mirror off afterwards. They acted for a little bit like there was nothing wrong with it. They were nice, but it took them an enormous amount of time to do this. I had to lend him a step ladder to measure the opening for the attic steps. I had him put in a fluorescent light and tighten a screw. He said he would be back and I asked him if he would fix the wholes in the door from where they hung the doors wrong. I didn't think I was being difficult, the wholes are way noticeable. I thought it was odd for him not to have a ladder and spackle to fix the wholes. I really did not have the feeling that they had done this before. The wife does most of the talking and tells the husband what to do. I was apprehensive to want them to do a big job, like installing the access stairs to the attic. They were pleasant but I wouldn't higher them again. I was so disappointed.

Wonderfully, this couple (Ted and Magda) were amazing, outgoing, very friendly and very professional. They worked together and got the job done, even with difficulty and the big challenge they faced. We had intended for them to give us an estimate this evening and if agreed upon they would come back another day to begin the work. However, they knew I wanted the bathroom light/fan /heater replaced for company that is coming early tomorrow. They jumped right in and began and worked over four hours hours on the bathroom light and fan. They worked non-stop, a lot of the work had to be done in our hot attic (the "sauna" as Ted called it!). After completing the bathroom, they moved quickly on to patch two areas of walls and then replaced the drain stopper in the bathtub and adjusted the drain stopper in the lavatory. They would only take up our offer of a cold soft drink, they politely refused to have me either go pick up some fast food for them or to provide them some snacks for their late evening meal. They cleaned up very, very nicely, too! You couldn't tell anyone had been in the house doing such work. I will highly recommend them to anyone I find needs a great handyman/handywoman team.

Ted returned my call the same day I left a message and came out the following day to make an estimate. He was here the next morning to do the work. He completed everything without stopping then left to get the weather stripping and soon returned to finish that last task. Everything was done extremely well, and Ted's pleasant, positive attitude made him a pleasure be around. He cleaned up so well you couldn't tell anyone had been working here. He also made an estimate for gutter cleaning, and as soon as the ground dries from recent rain we will have him do that.

They were on time. They were very professional. They were also very friendly. I would use them in the future. They cleaned up after themselves very well.

This cheery, easygoing couple are a pleasure to have around, can seemingly do almost anything, and are extremely professional. We insisted they try a new type of power saw we had when they were putting in one of the cat doors, and when the saw was damaged in the process, they replaced it the next day without hesitation. In short, they are trustworthy, talented, clever people who can do everything, from cleaning windows to building a new room on a house. In other words, the type of "handymen" one dreams of finding. We have another dozen, much bigger jobs lined up for them to do already.

He worked fast, he worked early. He was pleasant and very reasonable.
