It did not go well. Recently, (but after they did the work) an observant contractor working in the attic noticed a leak in the new a/c unit. Quantum Mechanical put all of the condensate pans upside down so that water was leaking everywhere (FYI they replaced three of our a/c units). As a result, mold and mildew was accumulating. Either they are completely incompetent or they were upset with me complaining about their lack of communication and follow through therefore sabotaged the work. I'm uncertain who I should contact or if it is a waste of our time trying to get them to take responsibility.
Thank you
."There where no more problems found at house. Under the terms of his warranty contract if there are no mechanical failures then we are not authorized to do anything else. We left the heat pump running fine and advised hi mom days below 38 degrees heat pumps do not work that we'll. I returned his call for a follow up and spoke with , she said her husband would call me back that day. He finally called back the following day and said he was unavailable on the time we had open for him. I called back to reschedule again but never received a response. His complaint should be directed at his warranty company, we are limited to what we can do if there is no mechanical failure present. We would be hay to return it diagnose any problems the system may have."
"This entire job got entirely out of control with the home warranty ordering the compressor. I understand her frustration with the entire job including our accountability. It is unfortunate that this review does not mention the countless phone calls to AHS and UPS and TRANE tracking down the order, getting phone calls late a night from AHS and UPS about her order, long after we were closed for the day. Rearranging our schedules everyday on untrue phone calls that the part was coming in that day. We did everything we could to get the part and get it installed. I do agree that there was several breakdowns in communication with many parties involved including us. The technician that installed the compressor was doing exactly what he was supposed to do. We are not allowed to mess with the CPS boxes and we are not licensed to diagnose electrical issues in the main breaker panel even though we know how. A break down on our part happened when the ticket was closed out after the compressor was installed, no one here updated that we needed to return to finish charging the Freon once power was restored. I have taken care of that problem now so this does not happen in the future. I would hope that you will realize how many things we did to help get the job done for you as well. As for the Freon that your warranty company pays for, we do not charge them for the Freon. Its included in a flat rate price, so it does not matter how much or little we add. We would be happy to offer you a Free Winter check up or Bio-Fresh Allergy spray on your system due to all of the troubles this job has caused you. Please contact us if you would like to schedule that."
Sounds good so far, but here's where it starts to go south. We get a call from Quantum on Wednesday, May 29th, during the time they're supposed to be at our house to make the repairs, and are told the part didn't come in. My wife spoke to Julie at Quantum, who told her the part was ordered, and the supplier didn't have the part. Had Quantum checked the status of the part Tuesday as Julie indicated they would, this would've been headed off. A quick call to AHS to find out went wrong on their end, and I learned the compressor was not available through that supplier, and another would be there the next day. This turned out to be untrue, which wasn't Quantum's fault, but what comes next was all Quantum.
I spoke to Bryan on Thursday, May 30th, who told me that AHS had just called Quantum and told them the compressor would be available until Tuesday, June 4th. He said they would be over Wednesday, June 5th, to install the part, as they would have to pick up the part on Tuesday. I told Bryan this delay really put us in a bind, as that would be more than 2 weeks without the use of one of our air conditioners, and we had family in town to attend to a death in the family. Bryan said they would be able to effect temporary repairs and service the unit with refrigerant, and that would hopefully last until the replacement part arrived. He said he would call Julie to have her set it up, since she's the administrative person. I never heard from any of them to complete the temporary repair.
The next contact I had with Quantum was Tuesday, June 4th, at around 5:00. I just wanted to follow up with them to make sure they had received the part and we were on the schedule for the next day. It came as little surprise when I spoke to Julie and found out not only had they not checked on the part, but we weren't on the schedule for Wednesday. She had to call me back after she checked and verified the part was in, and told me the earliest appointment was Thursday between 1:00 and 5:00. When I protested and said waiting 2 weeks and getting the run around from them should earn me some priority, she just said "Oh well, it's not my fault the schedule is full." That was an incorrect statement, as I was already supposed to be on the schedule.
I know it's too late to make a long story short, but just let me say in summary that you should avoid these folks and go elsewhere for your a/c repairs. They don't care whether you're sweating away in the Texas sun. And before you take any stock in whatever bogus response they post, ask yourself this. What do I have to gain but typing out this long drawn out review, and what do they have to gain by misleading you into believing it was somebody else's fault?
"This is beyond any merit what so ever. We did everything we said we would do and went to ever available effort we could to expedite this repair. This customer chose to have his home warranty pay for the work, so we were stuck in dealing everything through them. They botched his parts order on several occasions and finally came clean to all involved that is was their mistake. We asked if we could recharge his system while we were waiting on the part to arrive and we were told No. Since they were paying for the work we had to do what they told us too. The customer was told directly by his home warranty that all the delays were their fault. His response to us was that he understood what they said, but since his house was hot everyone was getting sued and bad reviews. We did everything we could to get his unit working as fast as we could, unfortunately our hands were tied by the home warranty. We do not deserve this bad review in any way."
"Can you please provide me with more information on this. I can not find you in our system at all. You can reach me at [email protected]."
