Crew came to spread rocks, put in sprinkler system in front yard beds, and plant all new plants. Quickly, Two large "anchor" shrubs never did well. Josh came out to look at the planting right after the job in the front yard, and I told him my concerns along with giving him a 6,000 check. He said to watch them, and he'd check on them next time he was here. A couple of weeks later, a crew came and planted a few shrubs on the back as requested. A couple weeks later, josh called -after we had several inches of rain the days before his call- and said he wanted to deliver a truckload of dirt to fill the hole. My husband said no since it would have rutted our yard terribly. We never heard from him after that. Never filled the hole or fixed our sprinkler system in the backyard as requested. We only paid him the $6,000.00 for the front yard beds, so I guess that was enough business for him. Since the spring, I've called Josh's office and have never received a call back or a visit. I finally ran into him in Home Depot and stopped him to tell him to PLEASE come by and look at our dead plants. He said he would. Approximately two months has gone by and absolutely no visit or call. Have used them for two complete landscaping installations and one sprinkler installation plus a tree installation.  On the first three I was pleased but the most recent work was disappointing.   The installation went okay but when it came time to replace two trees that died, all I got was a runaround.  The office helper lied numerous times telling me that they would handle it.  Very poor business practice.

Excellent. In our opinion, this Boerne landscaping company (Josh Maldonado) excels in the installation of drainage plans whether it be their design or the design of an engineering firm. This May 2012 project for the sum of $1,400.00 was the final stage of a comprehensive plan to protect our home from surface water flooding.
The major work was completed in 2009 for around $10,000.00. Josh worked with a civil engineer we hired. Maldonado (Scenic) Landscaping built the drainage channel as designed, and in a manner that preserved the foundation warranty. Construction included excavation, relocation of drainage and irrigation lines, paving with flagstone, and building walls with masoned chopped stone. Additionally, they relocated extensive areas of river rock to form protective berms, replaced rock with drought resistant sod, made irrigation system repairs, and beautified the drainage channel with plants and materials to make it scenic.
The work has been quality work. The prices fair. And the customer service is unsurpassed. Josh has responded to all our requests for follow-up inspections or repairs. His training, experience and advise has provided the right materials, plants, and grading improvements for both functional and beautiful results. We couldn't ask for more.

They do regular yearly landscaping and also come and do minor jobs. The owner is very professional and he does a great job. He gives good suggestions and he is not pushy. He gives ideas which are quite good. We are very pleased with him. He takes good care of the lawn and makes sure it looks good. I don?t think he is the cheapest guy but I am sure he charges correctly for the job he does.
