"I met with your mother and father; they told me to do it cheap as posable, you were selling the house and did not have much money, she said cheapest tile and door. When to fix the door and painted it and that was 't good enough, so we purchased a new door and painted it, and still, you were not happy, we did everything your mother ask, and it was fine. There should have been one person in charge of the job,( the owner) the tile was the cheapest we could find and put it up, and you didn't like it, it was bigger tile, you wanted little tile .your mother wanted us to put vinyl stick tile around the walls, that will not work , your mom said for us to get whatever we wanted it did not matter, we did and then all of a sudden you show up when just about finished , and you did not like anything , we fix the electrical that you had run all behind the tub, and it was not to code what so ever and did not charge you a penny. The tile looked good when we left the job just needed to dry for two days before you use the tub, you got in the tub and used the shower and got all the tile falling off the walls., and call me saying you used the tub, and the tile is coming off the walls. You used it 3 hours after we finished, .now its my fault. You can;t follow directions, ask your mother what you need to do. then your mom call me drunk ."
As I have said in previous reviews, I am NOT related to Mr. Kyle, but you would think so by the glowing reviews I give his company.
He and his men showed up ON TIME, FULLY PREPARED to do the work, and COMPLETED THE PROJECT ON TIME, and without any hassle. This is SO refreshing it is almost unbelievable.
As I write this, I am getting ready to write a very negative review about a landscaper who should NOT be allowed to be in business in Texas or any other state. He was supposed to be here at 9:00 a.m. and when I called him at 9:30 a.m., his text response was, get ready for this..."I'm having breakfast, I'll call you shortly." I would have told him to forget it, but the only reason he was coming to my house is because last October he put down $3,000.00 of sod and about 1/4 of it is like brown hay. I can't even begin to tell you how angry I am with this so-called landscaper.
Getting back to Kyle Construction, he is a 'keeper'... I keep his phone number handy for any/all projects large or small. He always has time to work with you.
As far as extra work. You would have to know my wife..... She pretty much tortured Bob on a daily basis with small (and some 'not so small') odds and ends that she wanted him to do. Not once did he reject her ideas or say anything about extra cost. When the project(s) were completed and it came time to pay, I warned my wife to expect that there would probably be an additional $1,000.00 added to the original estimate because of all the extras that he did. We sat down at the picnic table where he took out his folder with all the notes and supplies list and began to go over it with us. Well, to our surprise and total delight, when he got to the bottom of the last page he told us the final price. It was exactly what he quoted us. Being a good Christian and an honest person, I questioned him about all the extra stuff my wife had him do. His reply was that '...it wasn't all that much' and that he wouldn't be charging any extra.
I can tell you from experience (having had 8 houses over the years all with renovations and repairs) this type of honesty and integrity just does not exist in the home remodeling business up North. (We just recently moved to Boerne from Rhode Island.)
