We have been seeing Dr. Quinn for 6 years. We use to take this dog to Dr. Rodenbeck (also an excellent vet ) but had an emergency and Dr. Quinn was on duty. Turned out she needed surgery and it turned out to be cancer. We continued to see him since he knew her situation. We have larger dogs and he greets them on the ground and loves on them before he does anything. Yesterday was a sad day as our dog needed to be put down (kidney failure). How do you know you have chosen right vet? When he gets emotional with you.

I do dog rescue and have about 20 dogs so I am there once a week. They are not the cheapest but they give the best service. Quality is excellent.

They are great.

They are thorough, they have a good history of my animal so they are very familiar with any conditions that the animal have or have had in the past. I n the office they do a thorough record review and ask about any subsequent issues the animal might have been having.

They were upfront about the condition of my animal and they were upfront about thew procedures that were my options.

He spent time explaining what he was doing. Checked for worms also. He is one of the most caring Vets I've seen in a long time. He gets to know you and your pet doesn't rush. My pets just love him. He explains the breeds of dogs and lets you know what the most common problems are and prevention. He recommended heartworm pills. And informed us of what other shots she will be do for at next appointment. If he is unavailable I will wait to see him unless its an emergency. We have seen some of the other doctors there but just our best connection with Dr. Quinn.  The whole office is great, pleasant and know you by name and your animals name. Prices are reasonable.

They are great vets. They are 7 in total. They offer 24/7 service so when I get into trouble in the middle of the night, there is always somebody on call. These guys are awesome. Their price is excellent.

My older cat was showing symptoms of kidney trouble so I took her to Herbst for a checkup. While they took her for a sonogram, I frantically googled cat sonogram cost so I wouldn't be shocked when I got the bill. I was shocked, but only because I was just charged for the antibiotic and $39 for the office visit. A few days later, the doctor removed seven stones from my cat's bladder. My cat is not used to being around other people and I thought I would have to hold her while she was being examined, but I was very impressed by how easily and gently they took her out of her cage and held her while she was being examined. I am so happy to have my cat back to her sweet happy self.

They have the best veterinarian in the country. They are all relatively young with the exception of their surgeon who is exceptional. You can get in with a reasonable amount of time although they are very busy. They are mostly small animal hospital and I think have another location for the larger animals. They are really on top of everything. Their staff is exceptional. They are very friendly and very efficient. The office is very nice for multiple dogs so that the dogs won't be fighting. They also take time to talk to you too.

.Herbie seems to enjoy it and happily greets whoever picks him up to take him. You can tell that they treat him well and that he is never ever mistreated or tranquilized as some groomers will do. His bathing and clipping is always neat and he is never heavily perfumed, which we found objectionable with his previous San Antonio groomer. He looks forward to his and quot;spaand quot; appointment.
We moved to Boerne in November and I brought him in for his initial visit. Before he was examined, his previous vet was contacted and his records were obtained. He had a tumor removed from his leg in 2012 and the new vet at Herbst was aware of my little dog's complete history. My father was an AKC dog breeder and I worked many years in medicine. I am very pleased with this veterinarian clinic and its services..

We were very impressed with the entire staff at Herbst Vet Hospital, very friendly and efficient. Lorn even came out from behind the front desk to meet Bear and pet him. The examining room was spacious and clean. I had researched veterinarians on Angie's List and selected Dr. Shaw; she had good reviews and seemed like a good fit for our Blue Heeler, Bear, with her stated interest in internal medicine and oncology. Though Bear's pituitary brain tumor was not believed to be cancerous, we wanted to place Bear in the best possible hands after his discharge from TX Aand M's TomoTherapy (radiation) treatment. Dr. Shaw was well versed on Bear's treatment and condition, asked all the right questions, made great comments and suggestions on how to follow up with his care. She said she would talk with A and M's neurologist and she did; and then informed us of their discussion. She said she would talk with Bear's San Antonio neurologist and she did; and then informed us of that discussion. She is very thorough and is a wonderful communicator. We wanted Bear in THE BEST HANDS and that is exactly where he is now with Dr. Shaw at Herbst Vet Hosp!!

We've been using the services of Herbst Veterinary Hospital since 1996, and I thought it is about time I write a review. All of the vets at Herbst are wonderful, but our primary vet is Dr. Rodenbeck. He has a gentle manner with the animals, is very honest and caring with the pet and quot;parentsand quot;, and has a wonderfully conservative approach to treating our babies. We currently have 9 cats and 4 dogs, and although they don't particularly like going to the vet, we certainly appreciate Herbst taking such good care of them - whenever we call.
Several years ago, our German Shepherd had a stroke from which she could not recover. We called Dr. Rodenbeck late at night, and he told us he would come to our home the next morning to put her to sleep. We had the whole night to say good-bye, and he came out at 7:00 the next morning, just as he said. I could tell he was sad, as well, having treated Liberty for the past 9 years. But he was so compassionate and caring, and despite losing our beloved pet, the experience was very manageable.

We have several pets. The vet is very down to earth. He is very, very good with the animals. He has a very gentle touch. He is very patient. He explains things extremely thoroughly and considers what the pet owner is telling him. The office area is extremely clean. The vet techs are very nice. I would say that I would give the front desk, the people that handle the scheduling maybe a little bit of a 'B' because they seem a little aloof whereas everyone else is just the opposite. It's a very busy practice so that very well may be why. It is a little pricey there compared to what I am used to.

I did not have an appointment but the folks told me to come in and they would work me in as quickly as possible; I had to wait only about 5 minutes before the doctor saw my dog. During that time I filled out a brief form with relevant information. When the doctor came in, she was gentle but firm and took control of the dog calling him by name, Toby. She took him to another room and I do not know what transprired but he was brought back to me and she examined him carefully and gently. She found a sensitive spot on his lower vertebrae and said he had probably strained himself. She prescribed an anti-inflammatory and gave me the medication to administer for the next 7 days. The prescription was filled and included on my bill. All was very reasonable and I did not have to go elsewhere to have the prescription filled. A convenience for me since I had Toby with me to take home. She asked that I keep them informed on Toby's condition. A wonderful experience!

It can be very worrisome when your pet is not feeling well. Dr. Shaw took excellent care in listening to exactly what was occuring with our pet. She took lots of notes, pictures, asked lots of questions and was very thorough. She was extremely professional as well as comforting. She recommended we take small steps to recovery with our pet and as of today, she is healthier than she has been in months!
