We were shopping for a rustic dining room table & chairs for our informal dining room. Calamity Jane's had beautiful merchandise, and the store is nice. However, Boerne (outside of San Antonio) is close to several very well-to-do communities, so in general the stores there have very high prices. Calamity Jane's is no exception to that. We found exactly the table we wanted but they were reluctant to provide pricing on the spot as the salesperson was looking it up online and didn't want us to see their markup. They were responsive in terms of providing information by e-mail, pictures & pricing. We shopped around and found the exact same table at Armoires & Accents, a similar store, for about $300 less, and the chairs we liked were also about 15% less. A&A had additional discounts as well, and we wound up getting the table & chairs for about $2200, while Calamity Jane's would have been close to $4000. All in all, a nice store to shop at for finding pieces you like and for comparing pricing, but not for buying since you can get the same merchandise elsewhere about 15% cheaper.
