Two shocking revelations: 1) having communicated the horrors we went through with Boerne Painting and Remodeling on Angie's List last year, I was hoping more homeowners would read and avoid using BPR. As other homeowners stated who have used them, they are not dependable and if you provide them with any type of funding, you could end up exactly as we did. We are now out close to $300,000.00 with the new windows being installed. There are other trust-worthy contractors - use them instead of BPR. You will be money ahead and your final product will be one that meets your expectations 2) I visited with an Angie's List "supervisor or Manager" last year in an attempt to have BPR removed from Angie's List. Offered to share the lawsuit and data with them but they did not desire to see it. They stated they would review and if warranted, they would not allow BPR to post their add in Angie's List. I am not sure how much more is "warranted" to prevent the same type of unfortunate issue from occurring again. Preventing one person from using BPR makes my efforts successful - I spread the word everywhere.

Last Summer I had some painting done in my home. Some areas were skipped/missed that were in a stair hallway (the side wall completely missed and ceiling not painted twice). I had requested the team to return. Repeatedly, every month I received a call, stating that the season was very busy and that when things slowed down the team would come and finish the job. I am still waiting and now it is the Summer again. I have been VERY patient. So I emailed then again about a month ago asking them to complete the job and have not had any response. I do want to point our that last Summer while the crew was on the job one member quit on the spot due to aggravation with the owner/manager and his hugely disorganized instructions/non-instructions on what the team needed to be ready for the job. The guy literally left the site and went home. The team said this was not uncommon.

I am very satisfied with quality of workmanship. They color matched the paint.

They power washed the entire house . They caulked every seam. They found rotted trim and replaced it with the type of wood that the house had been built with. They showed

up on time and worked hard all day. They used quality paint, trimmed

everything out beautifully and the house looks like new. These workers

were friendly, polite and professional. I didn't have to pay for the job

until I thoroughly inspected it and was satisfied with the finished product.

Replaced two doors with windows.  Whole project was budgeted at $50,000.  Started painting outside of the home, never finished.  What they did do was unacceptable.  This project started and what little work was started, occurred in June of 2015.  The situation kept dragging out and the man doing the work would always tell us, let me get a crew together and we will be back to continue the work.   After a month of the excuses, I realized that the work was not going to be completed.  Since July I have not heard back Boerne.  I've called, left voice mails, sent text messages.  No response whatsoever.

We had used this service provider to paint the exterior of our house and were very pleased. We contracted with them for some minor remodeling based on our prior experience.  I believe they underestimated the time and work involved in at least one of the projects (staining of cabinets in the library).  Consequently, they left another part of the remodel undone.  Changing the door from the master bedroom to the master bath.  Numerous phone calls.  "I'll get back with you". "I need to check our calendar". Nothing. We contracted with another provider to finish the work. I'm sorry that they may have under bid the job but that is certainly not our fault or responsibility.  They should have honored the contract and completed the work. Indicated project would take 5 - 7 days.  Took over three weeks without completion.  Did not work full days consecutively at all. However, I had to be present all day every day as I did not know when or if they would show up for work.

Within the 8 or 9 contracts there are a number of services Boerne Painting and Remodeling (BP&R) was to perform.  Yes, they did do some painting - both interior and exterior.  For the most part, the interior is OK.  Some punch list items remain - spots were missed, did not re-install door knobs, missed some spots on a door, clean up, etc.  Exterior - and all of this started back in the April or May time frame - they have never replaced all of the rotten fascia (one of the first items I asked to be done).
As we moved forward, very little activity occurred with landscaping, roofing, windows, sprinkler systems, etc.  Then lightning struck and we had a fire - did some significant damage.  Mike (their Remodel Manager and co-owner - as he informed us) stated they could handle it all in addition to the ongoing work.  The roof was bid out to a subcontractor who did a good job but has yet to change out one hot water vent stack.
To make a long and tragic story "shorter", Boerne Painting and Remodeling LLC (John Caudill is the owner) did not complete the work per the 8 or 9 signed agreements (most, if not all were signed by John Caudill, there may have been one or two signed by Mike Purvis who stated he was a co-owner, and myself).  Unfortunately BP&R was "paid" the full amount of money due for all of the agreements - yet they left the job site (our residence) without completing all the work that was paid for.
remove We do have an active lawsuit against BP&R LLC in the amount of $250000.00 (+/-).  This is approximately $81600.00 more than the total of the 8 or 9 agreement.  Reason being - to complete the work BP&R LLC started, I had to hire trustworthy contractors to complete the job John Caudill and his BP&R LLC started.  In simple terms, I had to pay twice for the same service.  John Caudill denies all charges, even though I have recordings, text messages, emails & large amounts of documentations.  We also asked BP&R LLC to provide documentation as to time sheets (labor costs) and receipts (material costs).  They will not do so.  If they have done this to us for this large of a dollar amount, I would guess they are doing the same to many others (both large and small dollar jobs).  I will be glad to share my documentation with any interested parties.  If additional verification is needed, just come visit our residence and we can show you work still remaining to be done.  If others are interested, a multiparty suit can be created to prevent John Caudill from continuing to perform business.  I agree with one of the other "submissions", Angie should remove John and Boerne Painting and Remodeling LLC from her website.

The  work went very well, the entire house was power washed the day before the painting started. Painters were very courteous and very pleasant and did not waste time. Only a short lunch break was taken. John Caudill was on site at start and finish with periodic check-ins during the process. Work was finished very quickly. We appreciate  every consideration the company made for the comfort of our family and pets.

John came out looked at all the repairs i had. We had a pleasant conversation and he told be he would email me an estimate by the end of the week. I waited until the end of the week. Nothing. Then I waited until the end of the next week. Nothing. I made my first attempt to contact him and there was no answer so I left a message. I did this 10 times! No one answered the phone or returned my call. Then I found his card wondering if it was a different number. Called again. Nothing. Emailed him twice. Nothing. Finally I got a return call from the office apologizing and asked for my email address so they could send me the estimate. then NOTHING. Each time I called and emailed I explained that I understood if they were too busy to handle my job, or if for some reason they did not want to do my job but to just please let me know and i would move on. The only reason I was persistent was after several other estimates and conversations plus the reviews on Angies List I had decided to give them the job.
I still do not understand why they didn't have the common decency to just tell me they weren't interesting instead of just leaving me hanging and wasting my time. I just don't get it.

Great job at a very fair price. This is a small town company with a an outstanding professional attitude and work ethic. John's Crew and his Foreman Joe were professional, friendly and accommodating. The first day they took off the remaining outdated wallpaper, to include the ceiling and skylight, removed, repaired damaged dry wall and primed as needed. The second day they textured with orange peel and were able to paint some areas. Third day, they finished painting the walls, ceiling and trim. They also replaced the fixtures, installed a new light fixture over the sink, replaced the electrical face plates and moved an electrical plug. We had a few odd jobs that we needed help with and they were happy to do so. The crew was great about keeping the work area neat and cleaned up at the end of each day so the homeowner was not living in an unpleasant environment. The only caveat I would have is be patient as they are busy for obvious reasons; if John says he will fit you in the schedule he will make it happen. Thanks for a job very well done. We would hire Boerne Painting and Remodeling again without question!

I truly can't speak highly enough about the experience I just had with this company. I called for a bid and John, the owner, stopped by on the same day. He had some great ideas and the pricing was right on budget for us. It took a bit to get scheduled, but the city has had a ton of rain this year. His crews showed up every morning by 7:30 am and on time. They were extremely polite, nice, professional and good at what they do. Every day I had the same job foreman on site. His name was Joe. He was super accommodating. Answered questions. Made suggestions and honestly made the whole process run smoothly. The first day I had two other workers on site, Ernesto and Carlos. One was a carpenter. He stayed the entire 4 days. Throughout the job we had up to six other crew members working on the job.
From start to finish the job took 4 days, it probably would have been completed much more quickly had it not been for all the rain storms we kept having.
They cleaned up every day. Even in the rain! We also have a pool in the back yard and it got pretty dirty from the paint chips flying around when they power washed the house. They even cleaned out the pool to the best of their ability.
The house looks great. The new wood replacement turned out super and the paint job...well...it already has my neighbors making calls to John.
Aside from being impressed by the work they accomplished on our home, the other thing that impressed me most was the positive, happy attitude of each member of his crew. This just tells me that they have a good work environment. Good company and owner equals happy staff equals good work and happy workers equals happy customers. A great winning combination!
I will be calling upon them again for future projects and I highly recommend them for work on your home or business.

I have nothing but the highest praise for this company and the work they did.  The bid was provided quickly and was very reasonable given the amount of work.  The work crew was extremely punctual, neat, polite and helpful.  The foreman even recommended some changes that made more work for them (for no extra charge) that improved the overall appearance of the house.  And the true test...after they had finished and been paid in full we discovered a minor problem.  John came out right away and stayed here until the problem was resolved.  I highly recommend this company.

It started with having John come out and provide an estimate for the job. John is a very friendly and knowledgeable person and showed up exactly when he said he would and kept me up to date as to when the job could be started based on previous work they were already doing.

Joe was the foreman of the team and he had an outstanding crew. They did everything to perfection. They were extremely clean and considerate of plants and everything else that was around the job that they were working. They were very punctual and a friendly crew and paid extreme attention to detail.

After the job is over, Joe and I walked around the house and every item that they painted and if additional work was needed, his crew took care of it. They want you to be extremely satisfied with the end result.

There's no doubt that I would recommend this company and Joe's crew to anyone for this type of work. Matter of fact, I plan to use them for some additional work that we're thinking about having done in the interior of our house.

Painters were on time and courteous.  Did  a great job on the outside repairing damaged wood and painting.  I also had them pain the interior doors and they were done quickly and well.  The only downside was a few of the painters were in a hurry on the doors inside and got drips of oil based paint on the wood floor without cleaning them up   They were small and were a pain to clean up.   95% of the painters were attentive and cleaned up these small drips but there was one or two that were not.
Overall the house looks great and would definitely call them again.
