We were absolutely delighted.  He was prompt and courteous.  He really knew his trees and how to care for them.  He worked hard for about an hour until he was satisfied our tree would be fine.  He cleaned up after the work.  I'd hire him again any time!

Kevin and his crew were AMAZING!!! They were punctual, and extremely PROFESSIONAL in all they did. They even used safety harnesses ( I didn't think they knew about those in Texas since I have never seen anyone else ever us them while working in trees).
Kevin's knowledge about trees is also amazing. He took all the time we needed for him to explain to us exactly what was going on with our trees and what to do about the problem trees.
I cannot say enough good things about Kevin and his company. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Wonderful expereience.  Our home is in a rapidly developing neighborhood and several of the construction trucks have caused severe damage to these two trees.  I was afraid they would have to be cut down since they were showing signs of distress. Kevin cam eout and let me know that we could prevent that from being necessary by administering growth moderator around the trunk below the surface of the soil.  This keeps the tree growing from the trunk instead of producing branches and leaves up top.  He was kind enough to give me a discount on this product.  There is a consultation fee of $50 that he charges and is non-refundable even if you don't hire him.  I was fine with this as it is a new business and his expertise and time was of value to me.  He still has to prune the trees but I'm sure things will continue beautifully.

We became concerned that the live oaks in our yard were infected with oak wilt. We called Arbor Care and Consulting for an evaluation of our oak trees. Kevin Belter came to our home and inspected the trees. He put our minds at ease about oak wilt, indicating the dead leaves and branches were hail damage, not wilt. He also showed us what oak wilt infected leaves look like. 
Mr. Belter inspected all of our trees for general health. He noted that the soil and mulch around a number of them needed to be lowered and showed how to determine if the level is correct.  He found a number of locations where cavities in the trees collect water, leading to rot, and explained how to treat the cavities to insure that they are drained, and stay drained by drilling a hole below the cavity.
We recently had the trees trimmed by a different contractor, and were concerned that the trees were trimmed too aggressively. We asked Mr. Belter for his opinion, as were were worried that the trimming would affect their health. Here again he put us at ease, confirming that the trimming had been too aggressive, but not so aggressive to put the trees at risk. There were also some rubbing branches that were not removed, that should have been. The rubbing can create wounds, another route for oak wilt infection.
All in all, Mr. Belter spent more than an hour examining the trees and we considered it bargain at $100 dollars, even better with the Angie’s list half-off coupon. We definitely recommend him and plan to use his services again.

We have three acres of wooded property consisting of a wide variety of native Texas plants.  We have hired Kevin Belter and his staff on a number of occasions to perform a variety of services relating to the care and maintenance of our trees.  He is a trained and certified arborist and has extensive knowledge of trees.  He is easy to communicate with and very client focused.  I appreciate the fact that he stays on site and works alongside his crew to make sure a job is done right.  He stays very busy because he has a long list of repeat customers and you will have to be patient with regard to scheduling.  You may find people that will work cheaper than Kevin, but you won't find anyone with a better knowledge of trees, shrubs and what it takes to keep them happy.  We will continue to call him in the future when we need tree services.

They did everything in a very professional manner.  The "trash" from the trees was removed and the wood I could use in the fireplace was cut up and stacked.  All "wounds" on the oak tree that was trimmed were painted to prevent oak wilt.  I was extremely pleased with the price and the work.  I will be using them again this fall to plant some additional trees.  Highly recommend this company.
