Started job on 10/25/06. First day of job went well. Contractor failed to show up on the job 10/26/06; called 10 minutes prior to the job (I excused the first no-show). Contractor failed to show up on the job 10/31/06, and failed inspection. Homeowner paid an additional fee for electrician on 11/9/06 because contractor put live wires on ground (I was refunded by the contractor). Homeowner had to meet with city inspector to remove electrician violation on 11/13/06. Homeowner had to write contractor a letter on 1/3/07 to comply with city codes and finish job or job would be terminated. Job was completed and inspector passed job on 1/10/07. The only thing that prevented these contractors from getting over on me totally was the city inspector.
