Because this work required City permits, the work was partly dependent on the City of Austin. The plan was for Austin Energy to turn off the electricity from the source so the meter could be replaced, as well as the mast and wiring surrounding on the exterior of the house. When they cancelled, Josh cheerfully worked around them doing prep work and interior work so that part had been done when Austin Energy rescheduled the next day. The roof line of the house is very low and Josh tunneled through the low attic to avoid cutting holes in the wall although I had expected them after talking to other bidders on the job. His plan for the kitchen was considerably more efficient than anyone else bidding on the job while still keeping costs down. I hired him because someone else in the neighborhood told me how he had helped them save money. I could have gone with any of the other bids I had been considering, but Josh gave us the most for the money. We still need additional electrical work and I don't want to consider anyone else.
