Turns out the phone number you call is a call center that sends independent contractors out on calls.  The repairmen who came were from Kelly's Appliance Repair.  They came within the window of time specified and appear to have fixed the problem.  However, they made a mess with leaking water which they did not completely dry or clean up and they put the machine 'outer shell' back in such a way that the tub is now not centered under the opening.  The machine is also now louder when agitating than it was before the repair.  There was some confusion about the price (some goes to the call center and most to the repairmen) and ultimately it was higher than I understood when they quoted the price.
