They came with a large douly truck with a backhoe on the trailer. The ground was soft & they drove about 200 ft across the grass leaving large tire marks. They could have driven on the driveway over to it & saved the problem of the deep tire marks in the lawn. Next they dug up an area about 4-5 ft wide by 8 ft long. They drained the rest of the sewage from the pipe. Remember they cleaned the top section the day before. Next they cut the pipe out & replaced it with about a 6 ft section. They never connected the pipe to the orignal one. They cut a section of pipe, split it & placed it over each end. Then back filled it. They never had to dig any further in the lawn then that. I thought the price would have been the $1000, lowest esti
mate he gave. No, he charged the entire $4000 for that job. Way out of line for no more than he did. Especially when the $4000 was the highest estimate & he never had to dig an further than next to the house.State Contractor License Requirements
