We scheduled installation, which was about 2 1/2 weeks out. The installers showed up on the date and time specified. The actual installation took about 2 hours longer than they estimated, but their work was perfect! The sink hole was perfectly cut and polished, and they installed the undermount sink that I had previously purchased (my dream sink!). They cut the holes for faucet and soap dispenser, making sure to ask us several times about placement. Since we did a full-height backsplash, they also had to cut several holes for the outlets and switches. There is one seam in the countertop, and it's almost invisible.
We did end up with a little bid of damage to our cabinetry, but they couldn't have handled it better. A side refrigerator panel was scratched while trying to squeeze the granite in place. They gave me a discount on the balance, and I had a cabinet maker come in and do a touch-up. You can't even tell where the wood was scratched.
We are very happy with the finished product. These people are very professional, and they obviously know what they're doing. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again, and we've already recommended them to several friends.
With such a great selection of product, we thought they would be a good choice, but they need some help in running their business. Considering the challenges just getting then to send an email or talk to us, I have little confidence the job would be done properly.
"My name is Frank Richardson. I am the owner of Custom Countertops of Central Texas. I did meet with [member name removed] and his wife. I was able to help them make some color selections and get some estimation of price based on his dimensions. I appreciate [member name removed] comments and giving us the opportunity to provide him with an estimate. Unfortunately, in the end we were not able to do business together, and I sent a polite and professional email with our apologies. I was told by another successful businessperson that you can apologize for poor responsiveness, poor punctuality, poor professionalism, and even a poor price, but you don’t want to apologize for quality. I am very glad he found our quality to be excellent. For everything else we apologize again."
"Thank-you for your business! It is appreciated!"
