Jim contacted me promptly after I left a message on his phone. He gave us a quote and charged exactly that quote - no surprises. He completed the work as soon as his scheduled allowed in a timely manner. The arrangements, the quote, the work, and payment were all accomplished via three phone calls. Jim Cooper is a trustworthy man. We hired Jim to level the same house in 2009. He install several piers and completed the work in short order. He followed up to ensure the quality of his work was intact. We have now used Jim Cooper twice and we will definitely use him again in the future as needed.

The house (60 years old and at the bottom of 50x100' downward sloping lot) had quite a few foundation issues. A few beams were 'listing' badly (apparently the house was sliding downhill) and piers were often nothing more than a stack of random bricks and pieces of board added at various times over the years. Jim said he could stabilize the house but that he would not recommend trying to do any work at the back of the house since a lot of dirt would have to be removed in order to get to the very back. I left town and let him and his crew do their work. My wife and I were pleasantly surprised when we walked into the house and found that a badly sloping kitchen (in the back) was nearly level and that overall the house was much closer to level than we thought possible. He showed me the work they had done -- which was considerably more than he quoted -- but at the same price he quoted. I told him that I thought it only fair that I pay him 20% more than he quoted. It's really nice to find someone who over-delivers with no expectation of anything in return.
I think Jim works generally in the Sherman/Denison TX area and areas around Lake Texoma. If you have a pier and beam foundation in his service area, you can't go wrong by using him.

Excellent response and work was very good. Cleanup excellent. Owner and employees were quite pleasant.
