Crooks! Was charged for a service visit during Hurricane Harvey flooding. Claimed they "stopped by" but could not get access to backyard and stated they would not refund due to drive time. No door tag or phone call stating they had "stopped by"...zero communication. Seriously?? The city was under water and yet they were able to drive to Sugar Land??? Avoid.
Response from SWEETWATER POOL AND PATIO

"We truly regret that Mr. [Member Name Removed] does not believe we attempted to service his pool. Mr. [Member Name Removed] indicated that he was out of town and could not fly back to Houston due to airport closures and with all the flood coverage on TV, we understand why he would question the condition of the roadways. Luckily there were no homes flooded in this particular neighborhood and roadways were accessible. Although we have no reason to doubt our technician, we were able to confirm our vehicle was at this particular address on Friday the 31st at 7:33 am with our GPS tracker. Our technician indicated that the gate was found locked and when no one answered the door, left a door hanger requesting a call to reschedule the visit. We have provided a screen shot of that GPS report to Mr. [Member Name Removed] and can only hope this complaint was filed before he received the picture."

We have used them for various pool repairs and find them comparably priced on most things. Most recently, they replaced our filter. They did a nice job.

I have a very tough pool to clean and maintain. Old pool, no floor drain and a lot of trees in the yard and surrounding. Sweetwater has been maintaining my pool for 2 years now and never fail to show. They manage the chemicals and clean the pool weekly. They monitor the equipment for any necessary maintenance and provide repairs as needed once consulting with me on cost.
The best thing has been the consistency of service - only a few guys have managed my pool so it is not a new guy each week. Pricing is consistence with other services but with others I have tried, one never knew who was going to show up.
I rate them as excellent. They answer the phone, return calls promptly and are very courteous. Customer service is excellent.

We started testing our water over the summer and found the pool to be constantly normal ranges.   We were provided their top technician, but nothing changed.  They showed when they were supposed to but when we decided to discontinue their services, we had to spend nearly $500 to fix the pool chemical balance.  In other words, it appeared they did little to nothing to keep our pool in proper balance.

They're doing an excellent job! We liked the fact that they are very reliable and they always let us know if something needs to be done, before they do it. They have done an excellent job keeping our pool’s water in balance. They resurfaced our pool about 3 months ago and they now come on a weekly basis to service the pool. They, in fact, re-plastered our pool. We thought the price was fair. They come once a week and then extra visits if the water is not in the right balance.

We used this pool service for approximately one year with no problems.  This week it did not appear that the pool had been serviced so my husband contacted the company to inquire.  Although Sweetwater stated that the service had been performed, my husband was concerned because there was no door hanger message (as in all previous visits) and the pool skimmers werw full of pine needles.  Cesar Tena from Sweetwater came to the house the day after services were purportedly performed to inspect and concluded that despite our concerns over the quality of the alleged services (which we still cannot verify were actually performed), he "felt" that the pool was fully serviced.  In a follow-up email, Mr. Tena took issue with my husband's "tone and demeanor" and stated that a "relationship filled with suspicion and mistrust will not bring good to any involved and that it was "best" for Sweetwater to "immediately terminate services."Essentially, this company "fired" us for making a single complaint about their services.  Sweetwater was unbelievably unreceptive to our concerns and approached this situation with the so
Response from SWEETWATER POOL AND PATIO

"Sweetwater Pool & Patio values all its customers and takes all customer concerns very seriously. The morning we received the email from Member questioning if the pool had been cleaned, we contacted the route technician (Roque) to find out if he had any problems with the pool. The homeowner had expressed that the pool had significant debris, the baskets being full, and no door hanger, Roque was certain that he had fully serviced the pool just a day before, and specifically remembered emptying the baskets and leaving a door hanger. Our supervisor (Cesar) immediately visited the jobsite prepared to fully rectify the concerns. However upon his arrival, he found the pool was clean. Cesar took multiple pictures and made some notes of his observations. He observed some debris in the skimmers but the debris were all pine needles which did not appear to be water logged as they get when sitting in water for a long period of time. The front lawn, equipment area, and decking behind a raised wall next to the pool also held a lot of pine needles. The surface of the pool had a couple of floating pine needles and there were a couple of small leaves at the bottom (considered normal after 24 hrs of having the pool serviced). The bottom of the pool, however, was free of sediment. The door hanger left the previous day was found on the patio right by the back door between a small statue and the wall of the home. Considering that this is the season when pine needles shed with the slightest breeze, the pine needles were believed to have been all “fresh”. There was no sediment on the pool bottom, and the door hanger found was secured under the small statue. Cesar emptied the baskets and left a clean pool. A message for Member requesting a call back to discuss the concerns and our findings was left but when Member called back and was given an account of what Cesar observed, the homeowner got very irate and hostile. Subsequent accusatory communication continued from the homeowner. Member was notified within 24 hours of our decision to terminate, giving him plenty of time to acquire services for the pool before the next service visit was needed, and credit was issued for the remaining visit of the month. It wasn’t the complaint lead us to decide to terminate services. It was the irrational, hostile, and belittling behavior demonstrated by the homeowner on this latest incident, and our previous interactions over the course of the past sixteen months. Sweetwater Pool & Patio staff works very hard to resolve every customer concern received. We frequently train our employees how to engage in positive customer interaction. Our goal is a WIN/WIN with every customer relationship. Although we rarely terminate a business relationship with a client, we determined that this was the correct action for both parties."

They show up, don't break things and come when they are supposed to. The workers are unobtrusive and keep the pool clean. They are the best pool service we have had and I will use them again in the future.

They were really good. Their service was good and the repair that they did was good too. I really liked them. We are no longer using them because of the money. They used to come every month and they used to charge me $200. They also replaced a pump, which cost $500. We used them for about a year after moving to the house. I will use them again if I have the money.

I called Sweetwater Pool Service after Hurricane Ike in 2008. They came and restarted the pool after cleaning the debris, cleaned the filters, adjusted the chemicals (I had problems with algae), and did a great job. I pay just under $200/monthly for pool and spa cleaning and chem adjustments. The technician Wilson will report any malfunctioning equipment, then call me to arrange for replacement/repair. Excellent customer service. I'm very pleased and would recommend them to others.

For multiple visits over 11 years - they have done the work correctly without my immediate supervision.

I think that they are competent and do quality work. With the pool being outdoors I don't really need to be around for them to come out and do the work. I think that their prices are competitive. I have had a positive experience with them.
