Plumber arrived and declared the source of the leak to be a broken ballcock valve in upstairs bath (no water on the bathroom floor). Charged $495 to repair, turned the water on to the house and left. An hour later -- water still leaking thru downstairs ceiling. We called and insisted he return to see water dripping onto floor in other upstairs bathroom. Charged another $245 to fix the hose by the sink. Original repair was clearly not the source of the leak. Over priced - $495 for routine toilet repair and mis-diagnosed leak. Invoices lack accurate description. Not sure what you get for the service and what you are actually being charged for. Will not use again.
Response from Perot Plumbing
"[Member Name Removed] you called me after hours for your problem. I took your call at 9:30 pm no charge as you couldn't find a plumber to answer the phone, and was ready to help you at that time. You chose to have me at a certain time to meet your father and I did, I called you from your house before any work was done, I explained what I found your toilet was running in hall bath and that was the only thing I could see at the time. I turned water supply off to toilet & water meter stopped moving. I told you this would have to be fixed at some point because the water will run around the porcelain on bottom of toilet and can do major damage. Not only that, but your water bill will go up. As I fix about ten a year due to a bad ballcock or flapper, I told you the toilet was far from the spot in the ceiling, but water can run. It would be a processes of elimination, this would need to be addressed first.you asked me to cut out sheet rock in your ceiling as you were going to have it all repaired anyway. I recommend not to as there is nothing to see. You asked me to not cut the trim which I did not. I told you the price up front, 285.00 to try and locate the leak and replace ballcock. I charged you 210.00 to cut holes as you requested in sheet rock and to clean up the dust and mess. I checked and the water meter was not moving, and remember the water was on for the hour I was there- no leaks in ceiling. Your dad was there with me. I left, and you called me back a couple hours later and said your father sees water coming through the ceiling. I said I would drop what I am doing and head over, you said thank you (at no point did you demand me to come back) When I came back, I went up stairs and immediately checked the work I had just done. I then found water on your master bath mat. Then I found sheet rock wet under lav cut off which was not wet before, as I had checked it twice. Next I found a pin hole in the copper supply line behind wall- now remember this pin hole was so small it took three hours to finally show up. I called you and told you what I found and how much it would be to fix it, 245.00 (your father was standing right next to me while I was on the phone) You thanked me and promised to send a check. I trusted you to send me a check, even though we had never done business together before. You said you would as soon as you got home.I told you I am a small company and cannot bill out and you promised you would send the check. Now let's fast forward from Jan 27 to April 26- I called you and said the girls at office have been billing you. Your response was it must of went to wrong box, but "while I have you on the phone I think the 245.00 was too high, I don't think I should pay for it" and that you were going to have another plumber coming over to check your prices, and if I want your business in the future, you think you shouldn't pay for the work I had done. I explained to you the work that I had done without tearing out your sheet rock under lav trying to save you in repairs. I cut out your old copper pipe with hole in it and used a $6,000 special tool to pro press a copper male fitting on to your pipe, then installed new brascraft stop on your new fitting. Weeks later, you send a check for 245.00. Then you write this review not ever meeting me in person or knowing me, trying to ruin what I worked so hard for 30 years as master plumber and a single father of three kids- all because you think I charged too much- $245.00 for work that was well done, and a special tool that saved you thousands of dollars worth of sheet rock and tile. I waited 90 days for payment, I had the expense of billing office help stationary and postage to collect, I am sorry, but I if tell you how much it will be and what we are going to do in the process of elimination up front that's as honest as a person can get."

I was extremely disappointed. He charged me almost 900 dollars for a job that took him 30 mins to complete. He did obtain parts on short notice and I know that this was time consuming. However 900 dollars seems obscene. In general I found him rude and reluctant to be helpful. I would recommend choosing someone else. As chance would have it, I had a much larger plumbing job later the same week. I used church's plumbing and was much happier.

On Wed. 1-15-13, the water cut off to the house plus connection (new) outside were replaced. All work was according to city code. Mr. Perot was very courteous, prompt, capable and helpful. He also had his helper remove a few trees blocking areas to work at ground level (at 52 years old).

He might have fixed our problem. I think he needed to search a little harder at what caused the leak. The leak is still there and we are going to get it fixed. The damage is worse than what we have been told. There was a lot more water damage than we originally had thought. It couldn't of all come from the toilet, so the fixing of the hose wouldn't be the problem for this. He may have fixed the problem, but it was just expensive!

His service has been excellent. When he quotes me a price, it always seems high but I don't have a benchmark to compare. He is prompt, thorough, and cleans up his mess. The quality is also very high.

He cleaned up all his mess and did all this work in under two hours - and I had hot water again! He did it all by himself. Another company that I had talked to was going to charge me more for the water heater and require me to hire a handyman to take the door off, but Chris did it all.

Response from Perot Plumbing
"I, CHRIS PEROT, OWNER OF ALL PRO PLUMBING WAS THE TECH ON THIS JOB. WHAT THE CUSTOMER LEFT OUT IS WHEN I WAS CALLED OUT THE JACUZZI TUB AND STANDING SHOWER WERE FULL OF RAW SEWAGE, AND A LARGE SEWER MACHINE HAD TO BE TAKE APART AND BROUGHT BESIDE THE HOUSE OVER THE AC UNITS TO UNSTOP THE LINE. THEN THE JACUZZI TUB DRAIN LINE AND SHOWER LINE HAD TO BE FLUSHED OUT AFTER THE MAIN LINE WAS UNSTOPPED. AS THE HOMEOWNER SAID THEY HAD DROPPED A 4 IN. PIECE OF METAL IN THE LINE. THEY WANTED TO BE SURE THAT IT WAS OUT. WE PULLED THE WATER CLOSET, RAN A CAMERA AND RESET THE WATER CLOSET. THE EQUIPMENT INVOLVED TO DO THIS WORK IS A $6,500 SEWER MACHINE, A $7,000 CAMERA AND MATERIAL, AND $70,000 WORTH OF EQUIPMENT AND A TRUCK IN THE DRIVEWAY. WE DID FIX HIS PROBLEM. IF YOU ADD TRIP TIME AND JOB TIME IT WOULD ADD UP TO OVER 4 ½ HOURS. I AM SORRY THAT WE AREN'T ABLE TO PLEASE EVERYONE."
