Alex Varela - PrimeLending

Using Alex Varela's team at PrimeLending was the absolute best! They always kept me informed of my loan status, answered all my emails and questions in an extremely timely manner, and made the whole process son much less stressful than the last lender I used when I purchased a home about 10 years ago. They even sent me a gourmet cookie basket to my job as a thank you gift once everything was finalized. I would highly recommend them to anyone and will definitely use them again in the future if I ever need another home loan or need to refinance later on down the road. I can't thank them enough for everything they did for me.

Summary I'm writing this review in hopes of helping others through the home buying process. My suggestion is to skip this lender at all costs, for reasons including unethical business practices, and when things don't go as he planned, the Branch Manager got vengeful with us. We felt threatened, and at his mercy. We were terrified to do anything against his guidance for fear of not getting our home. He left us without options. But rather than fill his pockets, I chose not to give him our business, even at the risk of losing the home all together. We had a horrible experience, andwant to make sure you do not have the same. Ultimately, we took our business elsewhere because of Varela Group/Prime Lending's inability to get the loan done and the unethical business practices. The Good Response time for initial contact Our initial loan officer truly care Knowlegable on loans/requirements The Bad Unethical business practices, including threatening and bullying of buyers Interest rates higher/not competitive Lack of urgency, slow to return calls Branch Manager doesn't care about the people, he only cares about the numbers Branch Manager is focused on finding the right loan for business benefit vs. buyer benefit

Aubrey Jerke of Team Varela was a rock star in getting us through the mortgage process. She was always there to answer questions and explain each part of the process. We were relocating and needed to close on time and Prime Lending made sure that happened. Great group to work with.

From finding the house to approval to closing, Tim was excellent.

We first contacted Sharon McCormick with Prime Lending (Telephone 972-713-3215) in early October to get a Pre-Approval letter to make an offer on an existing home. Even though some of our credit scores were frozen due to an ID theft earlier in the year, Sharon was able to get us a letter in less than a day. We entered into a contract on the home Oct. 7 and set an aggressive closing date of Oct. 29. Sharon and her assistant Robin Smith were able to get us a loan approved by Oct. 25. The closing went smoothly on Oct. 29. Sharon even attended the closing, which is the first time a loan officer has ever done that for us. I can't say enough about the excellent service that we received from Prime Lending during the process of securing our mortgage. Sharon and Robin helped us every step of the way. They are consummate professionals and I highly recommend them.

Checked their website, got the list of documents needed, emailed, and submitted everything. They closed the loan in our home, we didn't have to traipse to a title company. Came after normal work hours. I like easy. My husband likes low stress. We were both happy.
