WELLS FARGO HOME MORTGAGE

I never liked Wells Fargo because they sell your mortage right away, but you still pay Wells Fargo. But they provide excellent credit and online services are great.

From the very start, Wells Fargo (WF) quoted an interest rate, my husband and I were preapproved and because we didn't have a certain document at time of initial meeting, they upped the percentage rate even though we were preapproved. The document was provided the very next morning. Time drew on and on and on. we got all requested documents to WF within 30 minutes of asking and we were constantly told by the loan officer that we would probably be closed by certain dates, which came and went. This same scenario went on a couple of more times. our 45 day contract passed, we had to extend the date with the sellers by a week. at this point, we were so frustrated with all the false promises, TEDIOUS paperwork and setbacks. the day before we actually closed, we were still not sure if we would. WF got paperwork to the title company after 5:00 PM. we had made other plans and went out of town only to find out that the Title Company worked overtime to enable us to close. we had to come back into town and closed at 4PM. Thank goodness for the Title Company!! What we got were a lot of excuses and finger pointing. Also, I became uneasy with what documents they required. We have bought and sold close to 15 personal and rent houses over the years and have NEVER come across what we had to endure from WF!!! We have always closed within 30 days. NEVER, EVER, AGAIN will we use them.
