NATIONAL TIRE & BATTERY

 I went to this location for the 1st time.  They had a special, Buy 2 Tires, Get 2 Free.  With this promotion came a wheel alignment, Road Hazard, Balance, etc.  Along with this promotion I needed an oil change.  The service manager who wrote up the order of service was very kind and explained everything being done.  I waited for 2 hours.  No problem with that of course.  Then the service tech came in and told me they could not perform the alignment because I needed new parts and new brakes totaling $1,300!  He said they installed all 4 tires though.  I explained that if I cannot have the alignment (which was very much needed) then there is no point on getting new tires.  He then tells me, well the front end did not need the alignment and that they did IN FACT perform the rear alignment; but because of some bar the alignment was still a little off and needed the new part.  I had also requested my 2 rear tires to be saved because they were still good.  He told me they were disposed of because they were in really bad shape.  Okay?  No big deal I thought.  I asked if the oil change was done and he assured me it had.  I go pay.  Total: $537.12.  Reasonable.  When I was getting into my car..........A customer approached me and said,"Mam, these are your same old tires, they never even took them off, I watched them work on your car."  What!  He then confronted the tech guy who assisted me right in front of me.  The tech guy acted confused, befuddled?  I went back inside, calmly but blood boiling.  I told the manager who 1st helped me what I discovered.  He asked the mechanic, what they did?  I heard the mechanic reply, they had done NOTHING to my car, no new tires, no alignment, not even the oil change!  Of course the manager apologized to me repeatedly, which it was not his fault.  But DECEPTION is occurring here.  Had that kind customer not brought it to my attention of what he observed, I would've left thinking I had new tires and the works performed on my vehicle and when it would be discovered I had not, it would've definitely turned into my word against this company and I would be out over $500.  Still waiting on the refund to post.

They are always really nice to me. They are very friendly. They are very efficient in taking more information and looking at my tires. They try to help me lot money wise on tires. I get coffee and water when I wait there. They have magazines. It is a nice and quiet place. They are usually very quick.
