Car air conditioner stopped blowing cold and car started making bad noise. After contacting several Angie's List recommended companies and being told there was a waiting list to bring in the car (ranging from 4 days to three weeks), I contacted Ricky's. I was told to bring in the car the same afternoon (a Thursday). When I got there one of the mechanics told me after I parked the car that, without even looking under the hood, he could tell that the compressor was broken and was making the terrible noise under the hood. He then said to expect the repair to be around $1000. I went inside and there was Ricky - polite man in mechanic overalls. He said they would look at the car first thing in the morning and to expect a call before 9:00 with an estimate. When I asked how long it would take to repair the car after the estimate -- he said it would be done on the same day if he could get approval early enough. Sure enough, he called the next morning, quoted $990, and I approved the work. That afternoon I got a call saying the car was done. Picked it up that afternoon and it was clean, quiet, and COLD! Fast service. Accurate estimate. Polite personnel. I hope I never need that kind of work done again, but I've got a one year warranty -- just in case.
