It took longer than expected for the work to be completed; however it was due to delays getting the valves back from the machine shop (delays on getting parts). Eddie was straightforward with the estimate and worked late to get it completed once the valves were received. He also replaced the water pump and thermostat as a maintenance recommendation because they were orginal to the vehicle. I feel comfortable that we received a fair price for the work performed. Also, the warranty is 6 months/6000 miles which is longer than anyone else I called. They've been in business for 35 years and say they stand behind their work.

He was truthful with me and told me he thought it would cost too much to work on the car. I did appreciate that though cause some mechanics would of just took the money. The experience was okay. I feel like you can trust him.

I use them exclusively because they are good at everything. I have been there for many years. Joe Gentry is the name of the owner. It's a family business. There were several of the family members who all had different shops. They are all brothers. All of them I think are retired now except for him. He has always been fair with his prices. He is intelligent at whatever things he does and he is excellent at transmissions; he is a pro, that is his specialty. I would trust him with anything. They found a problem with my car which is a Chevrolet and nobody could figure out why it was doing what it was doing. They called me one day and they said they found what the problem is. It was a long problem, but they fixed it. They are people who can troubleshoot and come up with something that other people cannot find. I keep in touch with them. I have friends who go there and find out how they are still doing. They have got a guy in there who has been with cars all his life. Joe was kind of bad about giving prices out that were a little bit low and it was not helping him or his people and this guy came in with some kind of computer that they have to keep it updated and it has got everything in it, every piece of wiring, and every color ever made. They can print it out in a second and it also tells what the average price of doing the repairs right now. It has made his prices more consistent. I did not like it at first, but it brought everything around. They did a pretty good job the last time I was there. They have a way of doing things in their own way. They used air pressure and fixed it and saved me a lot of money. I cannot speak for how it compares to others about the price, it seemed like it went up a little, but it is a probably more fair price. The price is honest and it is a system that constantly upgrades per this area. When you have left their shop after your work is done, you do not ever have to go back for anything. If you go in there and talk to them, they will tell you if it's going to be a day or so and they will try to give you an idea when they will be finished with it. They are honest about everything. Joe is a transmission guy and I have never seen one like him. He has built some pretty radical cars. He does all kinds of cars and that does make a difference because some people you take your car to say they will not touch it or that your request is a little unusual. Joe is a funny guy and he right off the bet opens up with good rapport. He is always kind of smiling; he does not make fun of you, but he really has a good time with you. He will hire only the best mechanics to do the job.
