Phase 1 went very well!. On time, right crew, very careful. Made difficult couch move out of front door around house and in back door - barely fit - no damage to anything. Even moved antique furniture without a scratch. Had to pay their minimum and worth every penny.

I got a referral from a friend re Mike's Moving. My husband called Mike and got a price. The movers showed up as scheduled and stayed until everything was moved.

After getting estimates from a couple of Austin based movers that were highly rated on Angie's List, we came upon Mike's Movers almost by accident while looking in Bastrop for a place to purchase packing materials for our upcoming move. My husband was impressed with his initial encounter with Mike and after checking references on-line, we decided to ask for a bid from him as well as we always prefer to hire locally. We contacted Mike and he came to our home to give an estimate, unlike the Austin-based movers who would not come out to our home but based their estimates on my inventory and phone conversation. Mike's estimate for the move was quite reasonable and we felt secure it in because Mike had seen our household goods himself. He did explain that packing services were charged by the hour, plus actual packing materials used. We explained that there was a lot of uncertainty about the actual date of our move. We were hoping to close on the sale of our current home in Bastrop and the purchase of our new home in Austin on the same day, but our purchasers' lender kept changing requirements and wouldn't set a closing date. We also weren't sure whether we would need packing services or not. Mike was quite willing to work with us. We set a tentative date for the move, and then were able to schedule packing services at the last minute. The packer was professional and efficient and none of the items I was worried about were damaged in any way. On moving day, the moving crew showed up on time and worked diligently to complete the move carefully. They were easy to work with and handled all our furniture, including family heirlooms and antiques, with appropriate care. We were completely satisfied with the way the move went, and unequivocally recommend Mike's Moving. We hope this is our last move, but should we move again, we wouldn't hesitate to use Mike's Moving.

The movers were top quality and took very good care of all my possessions. They worked very fast and completed in the time estimated and there was no damage at all. Since then I have used them for a couple of small jobs and have recommended them to friends who moved to Bastrop from the Dallas Ft Worth area and friends who moved from Bastrop to the DFW area and all have been extremely pleased with the service they get from this company. I have no reservations about recommending them to friends and family. In fact, my company is using them tomorrow to move some furniture from Austin to Bastrop. They are a very friendly and courteous group.

I had hire them to do a move and it went pretty smooth. There was a few small things that were broken but nothing major or unexpected.

We thought we were hiring 3 movers and a truck. Instead only 2 showed up. The mover charged by the hour. We have had several moves with different movers for comparison and felt they took way took long.

The worst part is that we just unloaded the storage into the truck to go to California. The contents of our storage was a shambles. They had stacked hard objects on top of our leather furniture. Nearly all the wooden surfaces on furniture we scratched or chipped. The cross country movers said that it looked like they just threw in the contents.

Overall it was an easy move. I was more prepared packing and had a few extra boxes already built for items that we overlooked.

They do a good job, very efficient and fair. They know what they are doing and don't tear anything up. Very reasonable.
