The house is still under construction. We have been talking and working together since last fall since our home burned in the Bastrop Fires. Brandon was referred to me by a friend who has connections in the building industry here in Austin. She had not personally used him as a builder before but got great reviews about Acadia Homes from everyone she asked--and quot;who would be a good builderand quot;. Brandon's name came up again and again. Brandon met with my architects in developing the house plans even before we had a signed contract. He helped provide suggestions for Value Engineering so help get the price down. Construction actually started in April just before all the rain---we love rain--hate mud. Brandon has the foundation engineered and all trades inspected by third party inspectors before moving on to the next step. Bastrop County does not require inspections but that is part of Acadia's way of providing an excellant product. The construction architect working with me has actually gone to the site to inspect the work and has been very pleased. After the home is complete, Arcadia provides a 10 year warranty from an insurance company for the home which is a comfort for me. I look forward to going and quot;homeand quot; (I live in an RV on the property) every day to see what has been accomplished. Some days nothing, some days A LOT. All the workers are very polite and helpful. I can't wait to move into this wonderful home some time in September. It would have never happened without Brandon.
