Moore For Less Remodeling

He charged me $1,600 and I got nothing. He stole the money. The $1,600 was to buy materials. I tried him out for a small project of tiling a hallway. It was well done and done quickly. Everything was fine. I asked him if he was capable of building the cabinet and he said yes so we talked about the costs of the materials. I know that oak is expensive.  He took a check and I have a receipt for it. We are contemplating taking him to the law. I've called him but he never answers my calls and he never calls back. He never gave me an explanation. He is a thief.

Mr. Moore did the majority of the work and then quit.  He did not pay for the materials which we had selected from a store he recommended, and we have been told we can be sued for the unpaid cost.  He came to see what we wanted completed but never returned.  We have yet to hear from him, he does not answer our calls, and we and anticipate he will never show up. 
He took $12, 496 from us, and he has yet to pay for the tiles, etc.  He is not honorable, and I pray we are not sued.

Truet is wonderful!!!  I am now hiring him to do some sheet rock work and to hang a cabinet and light. He will be my go to guy for now on.

The hallway was finished beautifully. The work was completed as scheduled. Truett is a pleasure to work with.

From the first day he was very professional, and gave us a great price to help get the jobs done and under our small
 Budget.   When his guys came in they worked quickly, and as neatly as possible. We did give them a lot to do and  they did have to work around me and my family. That is the great part of how quickly they worked to lessen the inconvenience of getting this work done. And they did a great job, as well as very painless to the effect on our lives.  Now we have a beautiful new living room, and two beautiful new bath room floors. 
 I you are in the market for a contractor that won't break the bank, but also will give you a beautiful  new room call Mr. Moore. 

Much of the work was fine but not all.  I did not know Mr. Moore was not returning on his last day, and shortly before he left, he asked for a final payment and asked if everything was to my satisfaction.  I had not done a thorough inspection yet and said the work seemed OK so I trusted him and give him a check.  Later my husband and I looked very carefully at the many doors in the kitchen and discovered some of them had not been painted on the inside.  Since the color was almost identical to the original paint, we had not noticed this.  We also found that the wood area between the bottom of the cabinets and the quarter-round had not been painted.  When replacing the hinges on the kitchen doors, Mr. Moore found they were a little too large.  I told him to just use the old hinges and paint over them.  He didn't want to do that and ended up having to shave wood off the doors which took the better part of the day.  Also, the paint was applied so thick on the doors that now they are harder to open and close. 
The work seemed hurried due to Mr. Moore's schedule.  He and his helper arrived between 8:30 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. and left between 2:30 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.  On days when he stopped to get supplies, he came later in the morning.
We called Mr. Moore, and he returned in early May to see what needed to be completed.  He said he would return within two weeks to do the work.  We have not heard from him since.  We have called  him three more times since then, and he does not answer his phone and has not returned our calls.  In the mean time some of the grout in one area is splitting and falling apart when touched.
It is apparent he does not intend to finish the job.  We will have to find someone else to repair the grout, and we'll do the painting ourselves.   Though some of his work was satisfactory, we cannot recommend Mr. Moore.   Needless to say, we are most disappointed to have spent over $12,000 and the work is not finished.

From start to finish everything was excellent. HIs workers Ron and Doug are great. They are honest and I never felt threatened or unsure to leave them in my home alone. They were here everyday and were on time. I have had many remodelings throughout my life and this company is by far the most honest and their workmanship is excellent. I have referred them to other family members, that is how sure of them that I am. I just wish I had more to do so I could hire them again.
