Provider consistently pushed my 75 year old mother into buying a new unit. She kept explaining that she could not afford new unit. When asked about compressor having a warranty she was told "We will see" She paid the service fee and let the technician go without any AC and any hope of getting AC. We have a string of 100 + degree days and we had zero help from the provider. When I spoke to the owner he said small companies like his survive on those fees and could not go to jobs without a service fee. I asked about the warranty on the unit and he stated that if she would have replaced the entire unit last time it would have a 10 year warranty. As it stands the compressor only has a 1 year warranty. When I asked about the cost of the original repair he said it was customary for him. I replaced a complete outside unit (compressor and all) for less that 1200 last year (bigger house) and it came with a 10 year warranty. I feel this provider saw an elderly woman (twice) and was focusing on revenue and not her comfort/protection.

He showed up on time and that's about the only thing that went right. He looked at the AC and when I asked what the options were to improve performance he said a whole system "might" do the job. So he left me wondering what to do to improve my AC's condition. Next he tried to fix one outlet but couldn't figure out the problem. He did repair the front flood light by scraping out the outlet for about 5 seconds and got a good connection. All of this took approximately half an hour and I was charged $177.00. The next day I had another AC company (Effiecient Heating and Air) come out and give me a detailed explanation of everything and ways to improve performance. I also had another electrician come fix the outlet that Azle Air could not fix. Not recommended!

After checking Angie's List, early on the morning after failure of cooling I called Azle Air. The lady with whom I spoke was very pleasant and after taking basic information told me that as soon as one of the technicians was finished with an attic job they were currently on they would call. Robin did in fact call a couple of hours later and came right over.
He carefully examine my old unit, removing a recently fried lizard from the capacitor leads. Then he checked the compressor wiring and found that of the three wires, one was burned through completely and was just leaning on the post, one was nearly fried and the third was marginally all right. He repaired and reattached all of these.
He checked my freon, ensured that the capacitor was all right, and cleaned the exterior fins. We then fired up the unit -- and it WORKED! He did a great job, and carefully explained to me all that he was doing (at my request). He never tried to and quot;upselland quot; me, realizing that if I could replace the unit, I would but clearly that is outside my price range at the moment.
The temperatures have been +100 for a few days now, and are forecast to remain so for a week or more. These folks came quickly, they did a fantastic job, and the price was quite fair. I will not hesitate to use their services in the future -- although I do hope that I won't be quite so panicked about having the work done right away!

WE COULDN'T BE HAPPIER WITH ROBIN AND HIS CREW. THEY EXPLAINED, IN DETAIL, EVERY QUESTION WE ASK. WE DID GET THREE BIDS ~ AZLE AIR WAS COMPETITIVELY PRICED BUT THEIR HONESTY , INTEGRITY AND SERVICE SEALED THE DEAL. WE WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND AZLE AIR.
