Wet Paint

Project began on a Friday and concluded on the following Friday.  Extra time was needed to allow for extra patching and texturing to dry from the popcorn removal and ceiling work.

Before selecting a painting contractor, I got quotes from Star Reyes (dba Wet Paint) and three contractors that were rated A by Angie's List members. I asked each for three separate quotes for painting the exterior of my house, for removing wallpaper in three rooms and texturing and painting the walls to match adjacent rooms/halls and for spray painting all interior doors and the cabinets in the kitchen, laundry room and a bathroom.? Star's quotes were substantially less than all the other quotes I received.? During the project we identified additional things that could be done and Star separately quoted them before I gave the OK.? In total I paid her $9100 and still believe I received A+ work at a substantial discount from what her competitors would have charged. ? Star came in with a crew of three guys who have worked with her for up to 12 years.? She provided me very good estimates of the time each major task would require and when she expected them to finish.? They were very careful to properly cover floors, furniture and mask or remove hardware before beginning work. ?They also were very neat as they worked...as neat as one can be for a project like mine.? Star was on-site almost every morning to assist with wallpaper removal and painting and to determine additional materials needed.? Upon completing each quoted task, Star and I reviewed the work performed, looking for errors or oversights and her crew corrected them immediately.? In fact, Star was even pickier than I during those walkthroughs!!? Their work was excellent.? Their cleanup after completion was very thorough.
