average teacher. Would have preferred more enthusiasm but everyone's personality is different. Seemed ethical and tried hard. moved out of area soon after second lesson.

We didn't spend more than the big deal purchase. It was okay. My son was already playing that time when he took the lessons. Schedule-wise, it didn't work for us. We got it for a month and that was it. He had fun and it was good. I've had no complaints with him. He was professional.

Went very well.  Young man came out introduced my son to guitar.  We continued with him for a little while.

Patrick is great. He's very personable, reliable, and calm. My son progressed quickly in his first year, and Patrick tailors his teaching to suit my son's interests, including some composing and music theory. Patrick's successful participation in his band reflects his musical ability, and inspires his students to achieve their goals. Although he is a relatively new teacher, I consider his rates to be competitive given that he comes to our house. I would highly recommend Patrick based upon our experience with a beginning guitar student.

He is good. He always sits with my son, works with him and they seem to get along. He is doing it for a while now. My son likes his style and he is progressing. So it works out very well.

good,
Response from West Lake Lessons
"[member name removed] positive written review of my service is inconsistent with her poor letter grade evaluation. I suspect that Accepted SP response to REBECCA WEBB was confused about the grading system."

These lessons were for my son, who has been showing an interest in playing for a couple of years. When the Angie's List Big Deal showed up in my inbox, I thought "why not give it a try?" We've completed three of the four lessons with Patrick and plan to continue with the weekly instruction. He's very patient and presents the instruction in a manner that is easy to grasp. His demonstration of how learning just a couple of chords is enough to play a song has kept my son's interest and desire to practice throughout the week. Highly recommended.

When our six-year old daughter expressed an interest in learning to play the guitar, I wasn't quite sure where to begin in locating an instructor. I called around to local music schools and found the common answer that lessons were not offered for children under eight-years-old. My last call was to The Guitar Center. I spoke to Patrick White and I explained my situation. He had some experience teaching young children to play the guitar and was energized to teach my daughter who seemed so eager to learn to play. Over a year later, Patrick has taught her the basics of playing the guitar in weekly 30-minute classes - teaching her cords, reading tablature and reading music! He is very creative in keeping her interested and motivated. Teaching her to play the basic cords of a Taylor Swift song was a HUGE milestone! She really enjoys when he demonstrates a song or exercise they are working on so she can hear it at the proper tempo (he also has a degree in classical guitar). In short, Patrick is a creative, professional, and motivated musician who truly enjoys teaching. He has done a great job in teaching our daughter.
