Urban Mattress of Austin, Texas

This was a pleasant experience in purchasing a new mattress which can be a similar situation as buying a new car. Shane was courteous, professional, and honest in presenting various mattresses that met our criteria. We liked the return, delivery, and taking away the old mattress policies.

Between the non-allergenic qualities and the non-pressured service, we were pleased. Most of all, one of us can move around on the bed without disturbing or waking up the other. The delivery was on time and set-up quick.

Urban Mattress is one of the finest retailers in Austin. They spent a lot of time with us, making sure all questions were answered. We made our initial contact at N. Capital Store, and did our multi-hour mattress testing at the Lamar store. Communications was outstanding, by phone and email. We shopped nationally, and Urban Mattress was competitive with everyone. We had special order fabrics, and everything was exactly as we ordered. The delivery team was well prepared, took extreme care with the products, and made sure all was good before leaving. We can most highly recommend both Paul and Shane as professionals. Wish all retailers were like Urban Mattress.

Absolutely NO problems; no room for improvement.

First I want to say that Urban Mattress has the coolest showroom. It is located next to REI and Whole Foods in the Arboretum which of course is a nice part of town. You will feel immediately comfortable with the tall ceiling and plenty of room to walk and test out the beds. All told I must have spent over an hour laying on the mattresses. The sales people are very knowledgeable about mattresses and are more helpful than pushy to get you to buy. You have to experience it yourself to know what I mean. The owner Shane is a great guy. He will definitely work with you to find the right mattress at a fair price. When things go wrong as they sometimes do you can count on the owner to make things right. After a few weeks I realized that my first mattress set was not right for me. I ended up with a full credit towards a Tempurpedic Rhapsody bed. It is so comfortable. Delivery was free which was nice AND they threw in a Tempurpedic neck pillow. The bottom line is that the entire experience was pleasant and low on stress. I cannot say the same of any other mattress store I have been to.
