HOME OWNERS BEWARE! I am having to come out with a statement regarding this company. They installed doors that were not built to standard on our home. We spent thousands of dollars on these French doors. Lance, the gentleman we worked with at the Front Door Company on Burnet, said he would replace the faulty doors. However, he has since changed his mind and instead sent over a repair man to rig them to the best of his best ability. Not only that, but in the time it took Lance to decide not to stand by his word, the doors were left unprimed and open to the elements during several rainy days. Unfortunately, I broke my ankle and we have neither the hearts nor the time to deal with this company anymore. It sounds like they get many things right, but when they get it wrong, boy do they get it wrong!

The Front Door rep walked us through our options and was extremely helpful. Installation was professional and thorough with an eye for detail. Both individuals were pleasant and easy to talk with, answering all of our questions/concerns. If you want a beautiful front door, this is the place to go.

Seamless. Ordering was straightforward, with advice using show model in showroom. We were able to choose durable, and get the look we were looking for. Once installed, there was a slight glitch in the installation, but was handled professionally with excellent results. Delivery and installation was not exactly timely, but expectations were set properly and with adequate communication, all work finished within stated timelines, with the exception of slight punch list that took a few weeks to complete. We are very pleased with the look and performance of the doors as installed in our home, and would hire the Front Door guys again, and recommend them for others to consult as well. As for price, I really can't say these were the most economical choice, but to be fair, we liked the quality and professionalism of the staff, so we didn't get alternative quotes to compare.

Went very well. Rekeying door to old key required replacing cyinder - done at no extra charge. Francisco patiently wroked with us to find just the right door and handle our multiple scheduling issues. Technicians (especially Lance) were super careful to make sure door fitted correctly and lock and alarm worked.

We went to store, picked out door with very helpful salesperson. Waited 6 weeks for special order, as expected. The door came to them right on time and we had them install it a few days later for a very reasonable price. It looks great!

We were ably guided on our selection of the doors by our salesman as to what would work well for us. There was a long delay on the delivery of the doors but company was very unfront about that and very responsive. The installation went very smoothly and very professionally. We love the new doors.

The Front Door Company has great reviews, so I chose them and it was a wonderful experience. The selection process was easy as I knew what I wanted and the choices were plentiful. Very informed and helpful staff to assist you in your selection. Nice looking doors are available at many places, but I was after quality installation skills as my framework on one door was badly rotted out and I have security screen doors that I wanted to stay intact. Usually, any screen/storm door is permanently removed when a custom door is installed so as to show off the beauty of the custom door. That wasn't my goal, however and that's where the skills of their installer were required. I put off this project for a couple of years wondering who could do it right as there were so many odd details in my case. I have recycled decking that butts up against the door frame and the lower part of the rotted frame is below the decking material, and needed to be replaced. There was no wriggle room and I couldn't imagine how in the world anyone could get out the rotten piece of wood, much less install a new piece with that thick recycled decking in the way without harming the decking. Plus, the security doors have one-way bolts that prevent the removal of the door and I didn't know who to trust to get them off to repair the jam, which was rotted at the bottom, and then to replace my coveted security doors, and would the steel security doors still be as firmly in place once removed and reinstalled, as they are 25+ years old. There was also the problem of how far my security door handles stuck out and if they could accommodate the new door handles or smash into each other not allowing the doors to close. There was just so little room to work with in so many areas. I am so glad I finally began this stressful project by finally calling The Front Door Company. They sent out a detail expert to measure and assess the situation and he simply blew me away. His name is Lance and he is a consummate professional who knows everything about doors and their installation. I got quite an education as he was extremely knowledgeable and spent a lot of time getting the info he needed to proceed. He explained everything and planned for the worse-case scenario so that all supplies would be available and at the ready if needed. They sent Joseph to do the install for both doors. Simply put, he did an outstanding, AMAZING job! He was here 2 days, spending all day on each door. He listened to my concerns about the security door removal and said he'd let me know as the job progressed if he had to remove them or not. He did not have to remove either one, it was a close call, but his extra effort paid off and both our security doors stayed firmly intact. This was HUGE for me and what I'm most grateful for. He also figured out how to remove that ridiculously placed rotted board below my decking and didn't harm the decking at all AND replaced it with a much better fitted piece of wood below the decking! I still can't figure out how he managed it, such a rewarding feat to have accomplished. The jams on both doors were perfectly fitted and replaced and he filled in all nail holes and painted them. He spent an inordinate amount of time properly measuring and sawing just so to make everything fit snuggly and perfectly together. He is an artist and his work product is quite exceptional. As with all remodel projects, things come up. The new threshold was narrower than the old one, leaving a gap under each security door that would allow in bugs/debris/water. He cut the most exact boards to fix both, rather than taking a chance that our 25+ year old security door bottom bars couldn't drop to accommodate the gap. I simply can't say enough about how wonderful everything turned out, how impressive Joseph is, and how fortunate The Front Door Company is to have someone of his caliber in their employ. Don't think twice about it folks, just hire them!

Mark was our Salesman.  He's knowledgeable, courteous, and informative.  Lance, the door installer, is a true craftsman.  After the purchase, he stopped by to verify the door opening and conditions.  His work and the door installation are First Class and he takes care of everything, down to moving the door alarm sensor from the old door!  Our new front door fits like a glove, the construction and materials are solid and the finish is beautiful.

We are very pleased with the quality of the service and product and can recommend them with no hesitations.

This company replaced our back door for us a few years ago and did an amazing job (custom designed mahogany door).  So we had them replace the front door as well.  All of the staff are very professional and pay attention to details.  They took meticulous measurements and great care during the installation process.  The new door looks so good and is so well installed!  We would highly recommend this company to anyone in the market for a well-installed and solidly constructed (and beautiful) door!

The company contacted me promptly upon my request for a quote. I was able to send pictures of the door via email and received a reply with a quote the next day. Clay was prompt and courteous and did a great job on the door. At my request, he changed the stain color from the "oh so familiar honey oak" to a beautiful dark stain. The door looks great!

I recently purchased an older home that had gone through a foundation re-leveling.  This caused many doors to run their frames throughout the house, but the exterior doors were especially sticky.  The Front Door Company responded to an email inquiry within 24 hours, and were able to send out a technician in 2 days.
The technician called the day before to confirm my appointment, and also gave me a call 30 minutes to his arrival.  He was right on time and took care of both my front and back door.  I also asked him to put new weatherstripping on the door, but he recommended that I save my money as the doors sealed well enough without it.
My doors now open and shut without issue!

We bought a house which had a flimsy exterior door.  The Front Door Company custom built, painted and installed a new exterior solid wood door for us.  A peep hole was installed and they matched the exterior paint of the house.  They also suggested new hardware which looked absolutely wonderful.  It took a couple of months from the order to installation, but it was well worth the results.  We were never made to feel that our project was not "large enough" for The Front Door Company, and we would absolutely use them again

Clay was terrific in listening to my issue and doing his best to get someone out ASAP to help me. He was kind and courteous. Lance performed the service and far exceeded my expectations. He was prompt, courteous, knowledgable, and most importantly extremely good at his job! I am very, very picky and he went abc and beyond. I will always use them, even if they do cost more. It is worth every penny.

The installer did an amazing job - the door is absolutely beautiful and is solidly built. We are very pleased with what we got. We will definitely use them again when we replace our front door. They only do doors, so know their trade, which makes a huge difference! I have already recommended them to friends of mine.

The company was ok, and the price was probably equal from a competition perspective, but the key component I liked with them was the individual they sent out. He was excellent and he renovated my front door.  I’d definitely use them in the future and recommend them to others.  Everyone was cordial and polite, and they actually helped save me a few thousand bucks because I thought I perhaps needed the whole door replaced.

My home was built with double French Doors in our den which we had replaced with "saloon" type swinging doors to convert to in-home bar area.  I submitted an online quote request on a Friday and We did receive a timely response from The Front Door Co. on our request for quote on the following Monday. A  technician was then dispatched to take the measurements for formal quoting on the following Friday.  I was then again contacted on Monday and provided a quote of $350.00 to complete the job.  I approved the cost and an appointment was scheduled for the next day. The technician was careful to protect our hardwood flooring and carpeted areas through the whole job with moving pads and cleaned up his mess with his vacuum so BRAVO to him.  When the job was completed I was presented with an office generated invoice in the amount of $395.  Apparently, I was charged an additional $45 for the technician to patch (6) existing door hinge cut-outs with bondo which I was led to believe at initial measuring and again at time of notifying me of actual quote that this was part of the total project cost to complete the job. I provided the new doors and swinging hardware from another company.  Front Door provided the Bondo filler and trimmed so that I could paint door jamb afterwards.

I contacted The Front Door and spoke to the individual who made the complete cost quote and he just wanted to argue with me stating that he told me of the extra charge when I told him that he didn't.  My recommendation to anyone requesting a quote would be to ask for it to be written and presented beforehand via email or something.  I had originally said I would definitely use again or recommend but might not based on sales quote individual not making the cost clear and then wanting to tell me that I'm wrong.
Response from The Front Door Company of Austin
"[removed member name] was told after we inspected on Monday, October 14th with a follow up call from our salesperson letting him know if he would like to have the additional work done of patching the hinges it would cost and additional $45.00. He accepted the price and we had a cancellation on Tuesday and was able to do the job the next day."

I originally ordered our doors through the OTHER door company that I will not name. It was an excruciating process and they did not hang our doors properly and it took weeks without communication. I called Front Door Company and explained to them my dilemma. They quickly figured out what my doors were and had Lance come out and look/measure to correct what had been done previously. Because it had been 2 years since my doors were installed it took a bit to get the wood that matched my doors. It was worth the wait!!! Lance took out the whole back door and started over again. With my untrained eye I could tell how badly the door was hung to begin with and compared to Lances work, a true craftsman, hodge pudge doesn't describe what that horrible company did. My doors now look like the $10k I had originally spent and I am using Front Door Company for ALL of my interior doors for the remodel. They are very professional and their craftsmanship is A+.
