 + -1 moreand they sorted them all out and reinstalled. They did it very quickly as we requested. They are amazing and very helpful. This was the second time we have taken one of our computers in. My other computer had a virus and was running slow. That was a few months back. My computer has been running great ever since. Thanks to these guys my marriage is saved! LOL.
Description of Work: I had done a System Recovery on my Husbands computer instead of a system restore. The result was complete wipe out of all his business contacts, billing information tax papers. EVERYTHING. I took it in and they couldnt help with the recovery of my Husbands deleted files (Every file on his computer was gone) They directed me to Fashbackdata here in Austin and they recovered the files for us. We took it back to Brandon and Matt

 + -1 moreOn both occasions, the original complaint was resolved but the computer had more problems than went it went in, i.e. missing email, strange display). They are really nice folks and I'm sure they're doing their best, but I can't afford the cost or the downtime to keep going back for repairs to problems that didn't exist prior to their work.
Description of Work: Submitted computer for repair on two occasions for virus cleanup, etc

 + -1 moreIt took them 2 more days than expected and cost $80 more for what seems to be less than expert repair work.
Description of Work: My PC speed has slowed down a lot despite lack of any viruses. there was also a problem with some other glitches and a chirping sound. They under-estimated the repair bill by about $80 and did not call for any verification. They increased performance only slightly but seemed to sturuggle with the issues. They did identify a weak audio plug on my PC case which explained a speaker problem that I was having.

 + -1 moreTook tower in for virus removal, ask to limit work to 2 hrs. (@$40per hour). Dave called to say it would be cheaper to remove the additional viruii by un-installing Windows and then reinstalling it. He stated the current $80 charge would go toward the $!00 charge to do this. I asked him to save Outlook Express...he gave me an estimate of $120-150 total. I do not know how to explain the extra $60-$30; when I asked they just read the above invoice to me.
Description of Work: 75 Virii, 183 spyware removed; restored 3 accts. Windows removed & reinstalled, driver & update, backup & restore. 3.5 hrs (as given on invoice) work done on: Dell Dimension B110, Celeron 2.53 Ghz processor, Operating system: WinXP House SP2, Fram & Rom: 16b.
