Ceiling Fan Service
I appreciated the selection and quality of fans at this store. Some of their prices are higher than the big box stores but you'd expect that for a specialty store. Customer service was great during the sales process.
We had an issue with one of the three fans we purchased once we got it installed, and later a discrepancy about the repair cost but the owner of the store went above and beyond to make it right. We are satisfied customers. Thanks Texas Ceiling Fans for going the extra mile.

When the person was installing the fan he told me the remote was only a 3 speed remote and I had bought a 4 speed fan. Although the company doesn't except returns, seeing I was sold a remote that did not give me 4 speeds I returned it. He took the remote back and told me he would see if he could accept the return. I have called him twice seeing I do not have the remote and he has not credited my account. He tells me he will check why I haven't received my credit and call me back. He never calls back.

"To Whom It May Concern: On April 28, 2011, the customer (member who filed complaint) purchased a Casablanca “Panama” ceiling fan along with a “W-52” Casablanca ceiling fan remote from Texas Ceiling Fans. My store manager, Mike Sconce, waited on this customer and wrote up her invoice and completed the transaction. The customer never inquired as to how many speeds the remote had. *FYI: Casablanca only markets a three-speed remote for the above fan. Had the customer asked about the remote speed, Mike Sconce would have told her that it had three speeds. Unfortunately, she had the installer/electrician mount the received in the canopy then, had it wired to the fan. Following, she had the installer demonstrate the fan where she then realized that there were only three speeds. She told them to remove the remote. Regrettably, we cannot refund her the $97.37 as the item (in question) had already been installed. Furthermore, the packaging which contained the remote had been completely torn up and was in no condition to be re-sold. Regarding the manager returning the customer’s phone calls, I have personally left her two voicemails concerning the above. I mentioned, in the voicemail, that she could pick up the remote from Texas Ceiling Fans, at her convenience. Sincerely, John C. Andrews, Owner"

Bought remote control fan. Learned remote wouldn't be in for 4 or 5 days. Said I would get fan when remote arrived. 11 days later - no word from TCF. Called & told they had no idea when remote might arrive but would check & call back. 3 days later - no call. Called TCF again - told remote should arrive any day. Wk 3 approached. I decided to cancel order. Told I could only get in-store credit. I noted fan never left store & still no word on remote. Asked for a refund. Salesman said he would talk to owner & call back. 3 days passed - no call. Spoke to salesman who again promised to talk to owner about refund, however owner just left town for a wk. I checked BBB. TCF not a member & 3 complaints on file. A City Search also revealed a complaint. Remote finally arrived & I picked up fan, realizing there would be no call or refund. Salesman mentioned many past similar "and far worse" complaints. Salesman admitted refund warranted but said owner is "hard" about such things.

They had a very high quality fan display. After we picked out a fan they had a quick response time to get it installed and had it installed within a day or so. They cleaned up after themselves and we really liked the work they did.
