My 1999 Volvo s70 was my daily driver until recently. The ETS light had
come on, and according to my research it is not to be ignored. The car
was running perfectly with no symptoms, and had recently passed
inspection. I paid ~$900 for a new throttle body assembly and picked up
an unusable car. They claim the ECM (main vehicle computer) "went out"
while they had possession of it, but it surely had nothing to do with
their work. Weeks of haggling ensue. The service contact was very
coordial and professional, but the owner was both rude and inaccurate in
his arguments.
I end up having it towed to another repair shop.
The other shop confirms the ECM is dead, but repeats again and again
their amazement because to their experience it is a very rare event.
So, go to Swedish Auto Service if you want to drive it in and tow it out.

The guys at Swedish were great at repairing my xc90. Unfortunately I had a few issues with my SUV last year and was afraid I had purchase a lemon. It had weird stalling problems, noises, and check engine light issues. Over the coarse of a year, Swedish was the shop I trusted to get it right. They were very honest, dependable, and I thought very reasonable with the overall costs involved. My Volvo has been running great since it left the shop, and I am confident that they will do another great job should I need them in the future.

Their labor rates were lower than the dealership and their pricing was real good. They were very friendly and they wouldn’t do anything that wasn’t necessary. They explained things and did let me know my options.

I spent $450 on the last service. They did a tune-up and brake maintenance and all that worked out fine. They do provide a rent a car for you, which is nice.

We took our car in to Swedish Auto Service for a diagnostic. They couldn't find anything wrong with the car, so they didn't charge us anything. My husband got the car cleaned, and afterward it wouldn't start. After it was jumped, it started just fine. Overall, though, the experience with Swedish has been great.

They are extremely professional and friendly. They are timely and get you in right away. They stay in touch so you know exactly what the problem is and when the car will be done.

I have been taking my Saab to Swedish Auto Service for at least 5 years now. These guys truly care about you and your car. They're very upfront about which repairs are important for your safety versus those that are not as necessary. (That distinction helps greatly when you have an old car and a small budget!) I trust Swedish Auto Service so much I drive clear across town to take my car there.

I thought the men at Swedish Auto did a good job while servicing my car. They treated me kindly and with respect. Everything went as expected and I was back on the road in no time. They did not try to rake me even though I have a foreign car which some places do. I would not mind going back there again for other work.
