Horrible experience. Deric mismanaged our project and cost us money and valuable time in completing our remodel. He was not responsive to our requests to see copies of large invoices until hard pressed to send them. We let him go and are finishing the project ourselves. Large or small I would strongly encourage anyone to look elsewhere. I wouldn’t trust this guy to build a birdhouse.

Spindler Construction was amazing, as always! We have had great experiences with each of our 3 Spindler projects. These have been complex projects.. We trust Deric and appreciate his guidance, planning and the peace of mind knowing that with them, the results are always amazing! Highly recommend Spindler Construction!

It went amazing! He was on time and the price was very reasonable. They are extremely easy to work with! I would highly recommend them.

We had our guest bathroom tub removed and a steam shower installed by Spindler Construction. The General Contractor was great to work with as well as all subs that came to actually do the work. They arrived when they said they would and kept the work area always cleaned up. We had a couple of hiccups along the way which were immediately fixed, resulting in an end product that was totally to our satisfaction. In addition, they repaired some deck issues we had from a previous construction company and did a great job. Highly recommend this company!

The entire project went very smoothly. Derrick Spindler was professional, courteous, thoughtful, and responsive throughout the process. His estimate was accurate. His workers were polite, contentious, always cleaned up at the end of the day. He worked with us on the work schedule as well. He made suggestions that improved on our ideas and was extremely knowledgeable.

Deric was very nice and responsive scheduling our first meeting.  Our first meeting was rescheduled, but that was due to weather. When we met Deric did let us know that he had a heavy workload and that the drawings would take some time.  We met Jan. 23 and didn't get our drawings until Feb. 24.  He did update us on Feb. 10.  
It wasn't that Deric did anything wrong.  I just thought that his solution was a little pricey for a "stock" solution.  With the time it took to do our drawings, I also wondered if he would be overloaded if we decided to use him.  At this time we are on hold and are looking at other options.

It went very well.They talked about different terms and he was very flexible. It was a very wonderful experience working with him because he was very professional.

In October 2014, we hired Spindler Construction to build a media room in our home utilizing existing attic space.  They came in on time and on budget.  They were up-front if we changed the plans on additional costs, if any, that would be incurred and were always accessible by phone and email if we had any concerns. 
However, what really sets them apart from all the other builders is their ATTENTION TO DETAIL!  Mr. Spindler and/or his head project foreman were at our home everyday with the construction crew ensuring all support beams were placed correctly and even added a few additional for good measure.  As the new room was sitting above our master bedroom and the roof would have to be removed they worked quickly (being cognoscente) of approaching weather and ensuring we had a new roof on as quickly as possible.
We can't imagine doing this project with any other company!  They have truly exceeded our expectations and they made the process EASY and QUICK.  We absolutely recommend Spindler Construction for anyone who wants a new room addition!  They are wonderful!  We will definitely being using them for future projects.

It went very well. The only disappointment is that it took longer than originally planned. However, Spindler was so responsive and the workmanship is so excellent that I am completely fine overlooking this item. Follow up during the project was great, the workers were efficient and professional, and I'm thrilled with the outcome.

I met with the owner of the company to get an idea  for constucting a back porch. I told him what I wanted and he proceded to design exactly what I was looking for. Mr. Spindler also helped me realize I needed to wait until my budget would allow me  to go ahead with the project. I wil definately call Mr. Spindler when the time comes.

Deric arrived on time, was professional and friendly. We were very happy with the plans he provided - they were thorough and easy to read. Also, his follow-up is excellent. Would definitely recomment him.

We kept adding on to the project and he managed to finish everything within or under six months. He's very efficient, and is very responsive coming back very quickly to answer any questions we had, and if he wasn't on site he would usually make an appointment later that evening to address them. He's very caring and took care of any little quirks we had.

We love our outdoor kitchen! It was built with stone and granite countertops. Work was done on time contractors were prompt and answered questions patiently. We are planning other improvements and will definitely use them.

--1-- Deck -  we decided we wanted a low maintenance deck - not a big fan of "composite wood" - I found a fiber reinforced hexigon product designed to provide a surface for pavers and also found some travertine we liked -- we created a conceptual design and contacted several contractors recommended by friends including Spindler. --- only two contractors seemed to know what they were getting into  (to my knowledge this construction system has never been used in Austin and maybe never in Texas), one would only sign a cost plus contract; Spindler was willing to provide a firm price after he researched the support system, how to build a petanque court, and the materials to be used.  He recommended a quite acceptable, nicely grained, composite wood for the sweeping stairs, engineered the support foundation for the travertine and took over from there.  The people he had on the job were great.  An on site supervisor, often there all day, and Spindler, himself were heavily involved in design efforts, problem solving, and managing the process.  Spindler and the supervisor were absolutely anal about cleaning up at the end of each day.  They both kept us informed about progress and the upcoming schedule.  This was a complicated job involving several trades, all of whom were top notch professionals.  Once done, it exceeded our expectations.
--2-- Kitchen remodel - based upon previous experience we got only one quote for this job, Spindler.  We provided a conceptual design, he called in several tradesmen to help nail down the price for their piece and did lower the initial quote as result of our adjusting the design, identifying interference ahead of time, and the information from the tradesman. Everyone was again top notch. I personally believe the electrician did a particularly good job tuning into the home automation system being installed which was not standard stuff.  The most noteworthy professional help came from the cabinet folks.  They redesigned the island to allow proper placement of the hood ducts to avoid interference in the ceiling, added tons of custom features to all cabinets (reworked some old ones) and matched the new finish to the old cabinets perfectly.  Cant fail to mention the good work from  the granite folks, the plumber, the tile guys, and the construction folks.  Each had their challenges and solved them very nicely.
We are very satisfied with both jobs.  I'm not sure if we could have gotten a better price but I am sure we could not have gotten better quality.

Everything turned out better than we could have imagined.  They outdoor building could easily become an office with just a little drywall.  The pergola is strong, well-designed, and adds a really nice touch to our backyard.  It was the attention to the smallest details that really made the results so impressive.
Everyone from the company was very courteous and professional.  We liked them so much, they are now working on another project for us --  a patio extension with an outdoor fireplace.

What a wonderful experience it was to work with this contractor.  Their follow-up is excellent, e.g., I never had to send an email to find out the status of the city permit, they updated me frequently through each stage.  The crew were some of the hardest working people I've ever seen, no nonsense, get it down work ethic.  Afterwards, the crew were meticulous in cleaning up our yard after each visit. Once,  I got irritated because a sprinkler head was out of alignment after their work one day, and called on Sunday during Memorial Day weekend.  Not only was my call immediately answered, but this minor item was fixed that day!
I just can't find anything to pick on here; what a fabulous experience it was to work with this contractor!

We were struggling a long time getting our project started because we didn't have a good vision of the finished product. They have quite a bit of experience in outdoor building and were able to provide us suggestions to make the finished product better and helped us make the required decisions along the way.

Once we agreed on the project, they stated promptly. They were able to keep a clean work area and were respectful of our property.  They did subcontract out some work (electric) but always had their own people at the job site as well. We are pleased with the quality of the results.

Most importantly - we are enjoying our patio more then we ever expected!

They did a very good job.  They were here for 3 months and they cleaned up their work area every day. They always left things in an orderly manner.  They were responsive to any advice that I had to give.  It was a very positive experience.
