Terrible experience! Incompetent crew. Ineffective salesperson (Mark). Project lead (Rene) was a ghost. A 3-4 day external house painting project turned into 3 weeks (3weeks!) of a trashed worksite. The crew was left unsupervised to handle prep work (repairs, primer, caulk, etc) and seemed reluctant to finish prep before painting. Called our point of contact (Mark) numerous times to ask for corrections and where was the project lead (Rene)? We actually had to lock up the paint because the crew just kept painting before all prep was finished! Lots of wasted paint, time, and materials. It came down to us finally asking for the owner’s contact info. Suddenly the project became important enough to complete & the project lead was onsite for the final 2 days. Owner (Ellis) said; “If I had known sooner, I would have sent a different crew.” What??! You sent us your D-team? Does another competent A-team exist? How effective is your salesperson as our point of contact? Why didn’t he keep you informed of all progress? Why did we need to call you? Not surprisingly, both owner and salesperson seemed very interested in NOT receiving a bad review. Right…. Job finally finished. Not worth the pain. Would NEVER recommend Southern Painting. Very unprofessional.

They were very professional and experienced. Fair pricing and an excellent job. Specifically the manager, Mark, was great with suggestions and everything. He represents them very well. We will definitely use them again.

I heard from many neighbors about the reputation of Southern Painting, so I called them for a home estimate. They sent out one of their managers, Zachary Joseph, and I immediately felt his honesty, professionalism and knowledge about my project. I had many different color preferences for each room and he helped me decide on the best color selections for my home. They finished painting my home in two days or less. The paint crew was so meticulous with no drips, spots or spills, that I decided to have them paint my garage also. The crew immediately and carefully emptied my garage and prepped it for the paint. They cleaned out all the dirt and cobwebs and began painting. I was overjoyed when the entire project was complete and the manager, Zach Joseph, was a complete gentleman. I would hire Zach and his crew again and highly recommend them. He said that the company does many commercials jobs too. His phone number is 512-777-8444. Zach Joseph arrived on time to give me an estimate for painting my ceiling which had four water stains due to roof damage (thanks, raccoons!). It is a large room with a very high ceiling and Zach knew that I wanted the ceiling painted but wanted to minimize the expense while not sacrificing quality. He suggested painting the wall above the chair rail and assured me the paint could be matched and I would have the opportunity to change or expand the work if I wasn't happy with the results. Rene and his crew of two also arrived on time and quickly got to work. They moved or covered the furniture, with care. They finished the job quickly and made sure I was completely satisfied with the results before packing up to leave. All associates from Southern Painting I met were polite and conscientious and the quality of the work was excellent. I received other bids and can also state the rates were reasonable and the fact that the workers were insured and bonded and the work had a guarantee was important to me.

Sales person was prompt on calling about an estimate. Took awhile to get a time frame on when we could get the project started. Once project was started the did a nice job. My only issue was with the lack of communication.

The team did a thorough examination of all the areas to repair. They went into our attic to determine precisely how to patch up the ceiling sheet rock damage. After the repairs were made they matched the existing ceiling paint and it's nearly impossible to see the repaired area. Same with the wood rot damage they repaired between the garage doors. They also did an excellent job of repainting the trim around the garage doors. They did an expert job of removing bulky storage shelf we had in the garage as well. Super pleased with the results.

These guys did a fantastic job. The crew came in and immediately attacked the job: prepping, painting, and cleaning up after themselves. It was an impressive, fast, and professional job. We plan to use the company again to paint the exterior of our house next year.

It took a while to get the project started. Between the time that I decided to have Southern do the painting and when the project actually started was about five weeks. But when the painting started I was very impressed by their professionalism and their work. I would definitely use Southern again, although I would get from them a better understanding of the timing.

Excellent job at removing wallpaper. Had to have contractor return to re-do a small item in the kitchen and part of the ceiling in the bathroom - both of these were very small follow-up items. Although rated an A, I would actually call it an A- on quality.
Overall, very satisfied. We had previously used this company for texture of walls and painting in two bathrooms - no follow-up items from previous contract. Excellent job covering cabinets, countertops and floors as well as cleanup.

This is the very first paint job, in my experience, that went as promised. The crew was timely, professional, took care to cover floors, etc. I am planning to use them in the near future. The job went great and I am very pleased with their work.

Phil Walsh was my sales representative. He met me at the property three times to discuss the job, meet with tenants, and inspect the finished product. He was on time for every meeting. Southern started on time and finished early. I visited the job site twice while they were painting and the area was kept clean. My main concern was that they not disturb my tenants and they did an excellent job keeping out of the way. They performed some work on the weekend and worked until dusk after the businesses closed when working around their entrances. The quality of the paint job was excellent. I found no paint where is was not supposed to be. I will definitely use them again.

It was excellent. They were very polite and very on time. The work was very good. They were just really nice to work with all the way around. It was very reasonable. We got bidding from several people and they were reasonable. They responded very well. All around, it was good. They came out at the time they said they were going to come out. They are just good. The guy was a very nice person and he was really good.

We received estimate and set up appointment with Shane, who is very professional and great to deal with. The crew arrived on time and went right to work protecting floors and carefully. moved furniture. Shane also recommended and set up electricians to relocate chandelier and add ceiling lighting. The crew finished all work in one day and moved all furniture back in place. Southern Painting has also painted the exterior of our home and always do an excellent job. I highly recommend Shane and his crew for any painting job.
