SCHROEDER CARPET & DRAPERY

Savana was very helpful picking out a new wood floor, since I could not get what I had previously (which was installed by another company no longer in business - but they did a wonderful job and I would have hired them again in a heart beat). Things went down hill almost immediately upon installation.  She contracted the job out and the guy shown up with two young hispanics that spoke no English and obviously had never worked with wood floors before. After very little instruction the guy left these two to remove the old flooring.  In the process they had to also remove all trim moldings as they had been installed on top of the existing wood floor.  They literally tore them out, reducing most to scraps.  When I brought this to Savana's attention she said it was not noted that the trim needed to be removed. I specifically mentioned this as most installers do not like to removed the trim.  But by leaving it at one level with carpet then installing a wood floor reduces the trim height by at least an inch. Her solution was to leave it up to "the guy" that instructed the other two to tear it out.  So they reinstalled the damaged trim, making little effort to repair cracks or crobar marks along the entire length of the top of the trim.  I was appalled and contacted Savana.  Again she sent this same moron out to "fix" the trim, even though I insisted she never send him back.  His solution was in to caulk, sand and repaint cracked trim in two spots only; leaving paint on the new flooring I might add.  It's not like it isn't noticeable either.  Not only do I have to look at this daily, but answer friends and relatives question as to what the H*** happened to my trim.
