I was initially dubious about having the windshield replaced in our driveway. But it went smoothly, the windshield looks like new.

Great, the tech was prompt, professional, did a great job and even vacuumed up ever piece of broken glass (and there was an amazing amount, inside and outside the car).

The repair was covered through my insurance. They sent out the right guy, he was better than most.

I arranged Safelite to come to my home through my auto insurance. They replaced it with a windshield that was not the exact one installed in the factory. The tech assured me it was just as good and air noise wouldn't be an issue. He also had to go back to the shop for parts. Within a few weeks, it rained and a substantial amount of water leaked into my car because the windshield wasn't properly installed. I called Safelite. They sent out another tech. This tech replaced the windshield and made sure it was water proof this time. I haven't had any leaks yet, but the wind noise when I'm driving is definitely louder than the factory installed windshield. Safelite might be a good option for crack repairs, but if I need another windshield, I'll go to the dealership.

I wasn't really happy with the repair they made, with that said I have used them in the past and it was great.

I've had great  great success with them except for this particular repair was not good.

I just think it was just a particular person that did this.
