I have one guy that I deal with and he is really good. When I leave I feel like they haven't screwed me over, so just being able to feel that way is worth something. I'm not a mechanic, so they could be taking me for a ride, but I don't think so.

I still use it from time to time. They're good. They changed out a thermostat for me. It was Christmas time. It could have cost me $1200. The woman dug through the various warranties that they had, that Mazda had, that the makers of the thermostat had and they ended up not charging me anything. That's how well they treat me.

I did not buy my 2008 Mazda 3 here but I moved back to Austin 2 years ago and have been going to Mazda South for my periodic maintenance.
The are courteous and professional and get me out the door quickly, providing a rental or loaner when I can't wait.
I will probably buy my next Mazda here.

I setup an appointment on their website. I showed up a little early and was met by a friendly staff. Car was ready to go in the estimated 90 minutes. I have always received good service from Mazda 5 South. I used their wi-fi to good advantage while waiting.

I own a Mitsubishi product purhcased in Iriving because there were not Mtisu. dealers in town at the time I was buying my car. It had needed warranty work several times. Roger Beasley Mitsubishi doesn't offer a loaner car for warranty work and I live over an hour away from the dealership. I have to drop my car off and wait several hours at the dealership for my husband to get off work so that he can pick me up. I don't even qualify for a free ride from Roger Beasley back to my home because I live too far out for them to offer it.
I inquired. My home is out of range. I have never had a dealership not offer a loaner car or a free ride for vehicles under warrantee
work. I'm also concerned that an item that I have reported for months never catches their attention until I have a pool of oil under my wheel in my driveway. My husband diagnosed it because he himself is a mechanic.
We took it again, guess what it was a broken strut and bearing. The knocking on the right wheel hasn't occured again. One person said that the knocking was normal and that it was the antilocking device and quot;kicking in.and quot;
It kicked, alright. I currently have parts on order, to arrange to drop my care off on Friday night for pick up on Saturday again. This is such a HUGE inconvience.
I was told (by a salesperson) that if I purchased my car with them, they would have been nicer to me. In addition I would have the option of buying a and quot;card that would give me a loaner free for two days and some other club type memberhsip perksand quot; The membership card is $359
So a) if you don't buy your car with them and you are an out of town person, dont expect service or customer service courtesies
b) they don't know how, or their diagnosticians, (the saturday guy) isn't really on top of things, as it took my husband to diagnose my car. He's a diesel mechanic!

The key here is that they don't look down on you because you have a car with more than a hundred thousand miles. They actually want to help you keep it running and don't just try to sell you parts and service. They are even good about putting on aftermarket, e.g. Koni shocks, if they're better than the OEM.

Doug listened to what I wanted, checked his inventory for me, gave me the best car they ha for what I wanted and gave me time to talk to my wife. He made a great match for me and my wife agreed, when I looked up, Doug was waiting patiently near the sales office where he patiently walked us through the sale.

Yesterday's experience was great and positive, but I have had experiences that have been less than great in the past. I have had lots of experiences with them. I have been driving Mazdas for many years. I had a reservation yesterday. I was taken in immediately. Work was started immediately and completed in a timely manner and completely to my satisfaction. The most recent experience was flawless. There have been problems with previous service visits. Some errors had been made. I have had instances where the oil level in the car was overfilled and the two most recent experiences where it was underfilled by nearly a quart. It was nearly a quart low when the car came out of the service department. When it was brought to their attention, they corrected it, apologized for it, and in the first instance provided the next service at no charge for compensation. The service department manager agreed that their oilfill equipment needed to be recalibrated. My suggestion was, calibrated or not, the technician should check the oil level before pulling the car out of the bay than just assuming that the fill level was calibrated correctly. When you overfill an engine, the rotating parts inside flip that oil into a froth and that can cause an engine failure because the engine oil pumping up is sucking air just as low oil level can lead to engine failure. When you are dealing with a relatively new car that has 2000 miles on it, the one that I traded in only had 14000 on it, you are asking for trouble. If it fails during warranty, it's Mazda's problem. If it fails out of warranty, it becomes the car owner's problem. That's why I always check before I leave. My lesson learnt is to check all fluid levels before leaving the service department. They are outrageous about some things and they are very reasonable about other things. It depends on the service. For instance, they charge $24.95 for tire rotation when the car is already up on the lift to change the oil. It is a simple matter of removing 4 wheels, rotating them front to back, and then reinstalling them. That is not $25.00 worth of stuff. I can take it to another place and they will do it for $11.95, no questions asked. They will get you, so you have to be careful about some things. The quality issue is what my concern is with not checking the oil levels. They are responsive. When you bring something to their attention they will deal with it immediately. I have had a couple of instances where I was told a certain time and it took them 2 or 3 hours longer. I just take the laptop and sit and work in their waiting area most of the time. I am using them for a number of reasons. Firstly, the car is still under warranty and secondly, I have a deal with them where the first 7 or 8 oil changes are all rolled into the price of the car. I am not paying for oil and filter changes. I am paying for the other services though. They have been pretty good to me. In a big hurry to get the job done the stress is on production and

We were very happy their service department. They seem to truly care about their customers and they want you to come back so they show up on time, they give you estimates, they get the work done, and they get you turned around.

I have had my Mazda vehicles serviced by Mazda South for many years. The vehicle recently serviced was part of a "prepaid maintenance" plan; thus the no out-of-pocket cost for this report. My most recent two experiences have been far below the usual Mazda South high standards. On the first Saturday morning following service, I discovered that the oil level was nearly a quart low and that the pressure in each tire was 2 psi too high. As I needed to leave on a long drive before the service department opened, I readjusted the tire pressures and then bought and added a quart of oil. Upon return to Austin several days later, I contacted the service advisor who apologized, and then blamed the automated measuring equipment used to dispense the oil. I WAS offered my next service at no charge (not to be charged against the 7 oil changes for which I'd prepaid). At the most recent visit, the previous service advisor was no longer with the dealership and documentation for my "free" service was not in their computer system. The "new" service advisor took my word about the situation and arranged for the service to be performed on the dealership dime. I carefully pointed out that the oil level should be checked after filling and that the tire pressures should be left untouched. (I check the pressures with a very accurate gauge once per week.) I was assured that I WOULD be satisfied this time. When the service was complete, I waited for several minutes after the car was parked and then checked the oil level. IT WAS NEARLY A FULL QUART LOW ONCE AGAIN!!! The technician who had worked on the car came out to check the level and confirmed that I can indeed read a dipstick. He had to add about 3/4 of a quart of oil to bring it to the proper level. Once again, the automatic metering equipment was not properly calibrated and the oil wasn't checked to confirm its level. Apologies were again offered, but no offer of another free service was forthcoming. As I check fluid levels and tire pressures on a weekly basis, there is very little danger of the car being damaged by this oversight. My principle concern revolves around those who assume that work is properly completed and then drive a car with oil at the minimal level. If the car uses or drips oil, severe engine damage can quickly result. Though it shouldn't be necessary, I've learned to double-check everything following each service. I want to have any issues corrected before I leave the service drive. I will point out that service prior to the two most recent visits has been completed properly and at a fair price with the exception of the charge for a tire rotation. When the car is already on the lift for an oil change, the additional labor for rotating tires is minimal; yet the dealership wants $29.95. I can take the car to NTB and have it done for less than half of that. I'll point that out at the next service and see whether the rate can be negotiated. If not, NTB is nearby. Bottom line is that I'll continue to have the car serviced at Mazda South since I've already paid for much of the work. Should the work quality return to their former level, I'll stay with them afterward. If problems persist, I'll look for a good independent shop.

We bought a Mazda CX9 from Josh at Mazda South. One of the reasons we got it was the ample cargo room for our two dogs. We wanted an accessory, the cargo tray, which protects the back from doggie damage. They did not have the cargo tray in stock, but said they would order it and it would come in in 2 to 3 days. After not hearing from them for 10 days I called Josh twice. After another 4 days with no return phone call, we went to the Dealership in person. Josh checked and said due to an oversight the tray had not even been ordered. He said he would expedite it and we would get it within a week. Another ten days go by. Finally, I call Josh again. He tells me the tray is back ordered and will not come in until April. This may not sound like a big deal, but we had sold our other truck and had (have) no way to transport our dogs without trashing out the back of our new car. Beyond that, not keeping us posted, or even returning phone calls is inexcusable. Oh, he did offer us a free tank of gas for our trouble. I think when you spend $40,000 on a purchase you should be able to expect better service. We'll see if our part actually comes in in April.

The serviceman I dealt with was honest. They always usually charge what they estimate. They always get the repair done right the first time. They get the job done quickly and get in done in the time frame they say it's going to take.

The sales people were very professional - not cheesy or pushy - as was the gentleman in financing. We got the rate and the price that we had in mind as fair. And, the car runs wonderfully. It took a little longer to get the paperwork together than I hoped, but I'm still very satisfied.
