The repair work was excellent. We could not be home when the contractor arrive to oversee the work due to an appointment. The contractor and I corresponded back and forth prior to setup an appointment. I must say that the contractor was prompt in his response to my initial request for service. We did not need to be home and trusted that the work would be professionally done. When we returned, we were surprised to see that the work was completed to our satisfaction. I will most definitely contact the contractor again for future projects.
Robert showed up right on time and we walked around the house reviewing what would be fixed. Over the phone, he had mentioned that even if I had found more cracks after his initial estimate, he would still honor the price that he quoted. [Awesome!] As we walked around the house, Robert pointed out cracks that I probably wouldn't have noticed (good eye!).
As Robert was finishing up the job, my husband noticed a few cracks that Robert and I missed on our walk-through. When I pointed them out to Robert, he confidently said that he'd take care of it (even though he was almost done with the job). He didn't give me a hard time for "adding" more work to the initial scope.
In the end, Robert did a great job matching our existing mortar (which was an "off" color between gray and white). You can barely tell that any repairs were done (which is great when selling a house!). His estimate of the scope of work (~4hours) was right on time--even with the additional work.
I highly recommend Robert as a mason! Apparently his father was also a mason and now he is carrying on the family trade (very admirable). If I have any brick/mortar needs in my new house, Robert will be the first mason that I call.
