We offer 27/7 emergency service with no overtime or holiday charges ever! 3. River City currently employs 35 people, including four Masters Licensees. 5. We only use hourly employees. Up front pricing on all services. We also offer our unique "River City Mechanical Preferred Customer Plan" which features: A. Two A/C checkups a year. B. Preferred Customer Status - Experience a breakdown anytime 24/7/365 (even 2am on Thanksgiving weekend) and your service call gets priority over non-contract customers. C. Preferred Customer Rates - If your system ever needs repairs, you'll receive a 10% discount at time of service with no overtime/holiday charges. After a walk-through conducted by a company representative, and several phone calls to answer my many questions, River City Mechanical recommended a dual-fuel heat pump/gas furnace with a two-stage compressor (quiet!) and variable speed blower to better control humidity in hot weather.  The installers arrived one December morning, unloaded, went to work, and by dark they were finished. They were neat, polite, and swept up whatever debris made it to the floor of our house, and also cleaned up the attic area around the furnace.   At my request they installed the heat pump unit a little further away from the existing location underneath a window. My objective of a lower noise level outside my home office window was completely achieved.  I hardly know the heat pump is running. A couple of minor problems were noted a few days after the install.  They were corrected immediately. I am very pleased with the price, equipment quality and warranty, payment terms, careful installation, and communication by company personnel. I look forward to doing business with them down the road when I am ready (or forced) to replace my other AC/furnace system.

The manufacturer sometimes releases a deficient unit and the contractor ends up cleaning up the manufacturers problem. In the case of River City Mechanical they patiently worked with us on a deficient unit that was perpetually causing problems. We are SUPER happy with this company as they patiently answered our questions, sent their best technician to assess the problem and overall stayed with the dilemma until resolved. All along it was a deficiency with the unit manufacturerd and installed. It was the local contactor, River City, who made it their business to get to the bottom of something that they did not cause and to fix the manufacturers problem. They were cooperative and patient with us. There are tons of A/C guys out there and we tried a number but we have to give it to River City Mechanical. No knee jerk reaction but a thorough review and FINALLY the problem identified and fixed thanks to Steve and to David. We heartily recommend this company. They are GREAT!

All the staff at River City Mechanical were very professional and a pleasure to work with. From the person answering the phone, the serviceman who came to my home to look at my old unit., the sales staff who gave me bids. And the men who came to switch out the old unit with the new AC Unit were all courteous and professional. The also gave me the best price for the new unit. I would highly recommend RC Mechanical and would use them again in the future. .

Poorly - don't seem to know what they are doing. Work is not checked by a supervisor even if the job was complicated. They did pay for the repairs to the house and the unit but only under pressure.

First they told me over the phone that they didn't believe there was a problem and since the repair was already completed, they couldn't verify if there was a problem. I invited them to come over and inspect the work and they wanted to charge me a service fee to come out and look at it. I told them that was ridiculous, since it was their poor workmanship, and I had already paid out-of-pocket to have it fixed. I wanted them to see the problem firsthand and see what they would do to make it right. They came out and looked at it, called me back and said they won't reimburse me anything at all for the shoddy workmanship. Several calls and voice-mails over the next couple of weeks went unanswered. I would have been happy with them reimbursing me the cost of the refrigerant and some of the labor. Their standoffish approach and reluctance to come out and inspect the problem, and then failure to admit fault and make things right, makes them a poor company to deal with in my book.

I did not like anything at all about the workers from River City Mechanical. They could not figure out how to get my power failures to stop happening. It was a total waste of energy just having them out to my house. They obviously did not have the right amount of experience for the job I needed done. I would not recommend them to anyone. I cannot remember what exactly they charged me; I just know I would never welcome them again for any job until they get more experienced.
