Called my regular plumber Monday morning, and they were busy until Tuesday afternoon! So based on the equipment supplier GP Equipment, I called Pure Plumbing, even though they have a non-A rating. They had a reasonable and quot;show upand quot; charge, and they came about mid-day. Meanwhile, I visited the pump supply store to get educated on how the system works and what I should replace.
Mark from Pure Plumbing quickly diagnosed the problem as a faulty relay, a relatively simple repair. Of course I'd messed up a lot of the plumbing to install the temporary pump, so reassembly was a bit of work. Since the pump was 15 year old, I decided to replace it while the pro was here putting things together. Mark did NOT try to up sell me on the replacement, but said he would put it together the right way.
Everything went great. They finished about the time promised, and they wanted to make all the and quot;modernand quot; enhancements that the equipment supplier had explained. I was very pleased that they handled the plumbing, the electric controls, and did everything the right way. Certainly not the cheapest, but after 2 days without sewage, we were happy to pay any price.
I am quite pleased with the quality of work and willingness to explain everything. I even had them add a relay to connect the failure alarm to my security system.
it was my fault because he was the only guy i called. i was in desparate need of someone to fix our tub and hot water lines. he came out to our house quickly, gave us an $1800 estimate and began the work. make a long story short, we were having the tub replaced due to a rusted drain in the steel tub. basically he replaced the old tub, with another steel tub, except the porcelain was completely shattered around the drain. we could not see the shatter until it started rusting, just a couple of weeks after installation. basically, he found the cheapest tub, that Home Depot had on hand, did not check it for any damage.
BEWARE...OVERPRICED SERVICES
so now, we have replaced our old rusty tub, with a completely new rusty tub - thanks mark.
"We installed a steel tub because that is what you asked for. We recommended that we install a cast iron tub for a little bit more in material cost. We do not buy material from Home Depot or Lowe's if it can be avoided for this specific reason. We offered to refinish the new tub to satisfy the consumer. The manufacturer said it was not rust but mold do to lack of proper cleaning and would come off with " bar keepers friend" a non-abrasive cleaner. After cleaning the tub the stains were removed."
