Pest Management, Inc.

About us

Clients of Pest Management, Inc. experience first hand the difference that our methods have on their pest control problems. The training of every Pest Management employee is an important part of our client’s success. That includes the emphasis on time spent on getting to know the problem, the time spent to control or eradicate the problem pest, the equipment and materials used, and the protocols that are followed. That also extends to better guarantees from every service offered, to give clients that peace of mind that the problem will absolutely be managed properly. We offer Pest Control throughout Texas with offices in Austin, Houston, Dallas, San Antonio; and also serve Louisiana & Mississippi with our commercial services. Expertise & Commitment to Service Every pest problem must be both treated and managed with suitable due diligence. Only the most committed pest control companies take their time and use the most up-to-date methods and protocols. There are plenty of pest companies in the market that focus more on the volume of appointments in a day, rather than on quality work for each client. For those who want the job done right, Pest Management, Inc. is here. Specialty Services Pest Management, Inc. has become well know for Bed Bugs. Our techniques and protocols used to kill bed bugs have gained wide recognition within and throughout the State of Texas, with Government Agencies, Commercial Property Owners, and even with National Geographic. We were the first Pest Control company in Texas to have Bed Bug Dogs that specialize in detection. These K-9 units are especially effective with Bed Bug problems. We were also the first in Texas to use Thermal Heat for Bed Bugs.

Heat treatment process went well. Technician was knowledgeable. Very efficient. The process was not as tedious as I imagined. I was also able to enter my home that night. Due to cool weather outside we were able to cool the house down.

They were very attentive to my questions and my needs. There were two technicians here doing the service. They had great follow up after the work was done. I have not had any issues since then. They did a really nice job.

On time, services exactly as promised. So far (2 weeks out) no recurrence. If all continues to go well, I will be satisfied.
1) Our home was previously treated for bed bugs in November 2013. All rooms were inspected, guest rooms only heat treated, where we found evidence) The rest of the house got chemical treatment Paid $1200 then for treatment that was guaranteed for 6 months. We were inside the warranty period.
2) Unhappy when we had a recurrence of bed bugs in April (still in warranty period). I had bites. They came out and showed me the proof of return of bugs. Was told that they would deduct the amount I had previously paid "under warranty" from the total cost of service and treat the entire house. Not thrilled, but we had to get rid of bugs.
3) Contract came via email. When I read the contract, he had shortened the new treatment warranty period to 3 months. I objected, and after negotiations got 6 additional months warranty (to October, 2014) His reason for the shortened warranty (which he had NOT told me verbally during our visit) was that he believes I brought them back into the house with my international travel. It's possible. It's possible they didn't treat well in the first place....we will never know. Bed bugs are terrible and can live a LONG time and are difficult to eradicate.
Preparation for the treatment is hard - you have to remove anything that can't withstand 140 degrees sustained heat. (Candles, crayons, aerosols, etc) Treatment lasted all day - which is a GOOD thing. Even though clothes in closets are heat treated, they recommend you wash and dry EVERY SINGLE ITEM in your closet after treatment. They pull furniture away from walls. All the things that were pulled out have to be put away. It's HOT for hours till the heat dissipates.
That said, the workers were helpful, kind and efficient. They did what they contracted to do.
I am doing my best to NEVER have to go through this again. Purchased bed bug covers for all beds / box springs. Purchased an industrial steam cleaner and steam cleaned items before returning them into the house. I will quarantine my luggage and steam it before bringing it into the house from now on.
