Hank was knowledgeable, informative, detailed and professional in working with us to screen-in our patio porch. As a result, we now have a beautiful, screened-in porch that matches the overall look of our home. We no longer need to worry about mosquitos and wasps when we sit outside on our porch. We recommend Hank and his business, as he patiently worked with us as he shared ideas and options, working out challenging details with existing electrical plates, lighting fixtures, and masonry/wood posts. He also special ordered a door we requested to match the esthetics of the final design to the screen, to make sure the screens matched exiting windows, and to consider the overall look we wanted with regard to visibility to the garden. We recommend Hank and his expertise.

Hank was awesome! He is professional and polite. He came to our house and gave us a bid. Then was on time and on budget. We were so impressed, we had him build another cover in the back next by our pool. He did everything he promised, and we have been very happy with both of our deck covers! Would highly recommend him!

Hank did an excellent job! He provided a very reasonable estimate soon after I called him. He did the work earlier than he thought he could get to it and it turned out great. He worked very hard and finished the job in a timely fashion and charged the estimated amount.

I could not be more pleased with the service provided and the quality of the finished product.  Hank Smith is a true professional, with a wealth of knowledge and experience and it shows in his craftsmanship.
He was able to find materials that exactly matched the existing cover PERFECTLY, and made several excellent recommendations regarding the layout and placement of the doors.  He explained every aspect of the project in very good detail when he made the bid, and then repeated the information prior to starting the project to ensure that we were completely aligned.
He gave me a very accurate timeline on when materials would be available and when he could start the job.  When we ran into some delays with the materials provider, he promptly informed me of the new schedule and everything went as planned from there. 
He did such a thorough and exact job taking (and retaking) measurements that only a few scraps (I'm talking inches) of material were left over when he completed the job.
Everything was on scheduled and on budget.  The finished product is simply OUTSTANDING.  I have had so many compliments, on top of my own high level of satisfaction, that I wish I had another patio for Hank to work on. 
Aside from doing excellent work, Hank is also a very nice man and is really good with pets.  I think my dog misses having him in the backyard!

After speaking with several other area contractors who would or could enclose our patio, we learned about surprisingly limited warranties available on labor and materials.  My enthusiasm for Hank Smith's offer to visit, measure and bid - without obligation - on behalf of Patio Covers of Austin was second only to my excitement at locating a company that had enough confidence to warranty it's work product. 
     Being some distance from Austin vendors we've become accustomed to waiting for scheduling, but Hank Smith visited within days of my initial contact and provided a bid for the significant square footage we wanted to enclose along with sound professional recommendations on segmenting, materials, structural design and finishing details.  His knowledge of area-specific wind and weather contributions to long-term wear & tear, and his knack for structural design that wouldn't diminish aesthetics are great assets, but it is ultimately the finished product that functions the way it should and has LASTED so beautifully (it's now two years old!) that informs our huge appreciation for Patio Covers of Austin's fine work. 
     We have since seen neighboring efforts that lack the visual appeal of our porch, largely because of an over-abundance of caulk between framing and stonework.  Patio Covers of Austin created channels within our stone pillars to best seat the screen enclosure's frames while eliminating the eye-sore of inconsistent segments & frame widths because of the topography of the stone and resulting gaps beside a straight edge.  The frame and screening materials and colors were perfectly chosen in addition to the truly excellent installation, and our enclosed patio has become more an extension of our home than simply the enclosure of the patio foundation.
     I've been remiss in waiting so long to file a this glowing recommendation, but it comes along with two years of use (abuse!), and myriad encounters with contractors of all kinds in the interim.  Patio Covers of Austin is one of the really superb ones that is a rare find, indeed.
