Palm Lending

Things started out well with Palm and they did a good job describing various loan options.
However once we committed to using Palm everything went downhill in terms of communication.
We were told on many many occasions 'everything will be ready by x date'  or 'we'll call you tomorrow' and then there would be no communication and no status until I called to be told 'oh no now it'll be x date'.  This went on repeatedly and was extremely rude, amateurish and unprofessional especially when discussing status and expectations around 100s of thousands of dollars.
I do understand the underwriting process and that requests for details, histories, documents, etc can get tedious.  However we were asked multiple times for the same thing by Palm Lending.  In one case I was asked for exactly the same thing 3 times in the space of 5 days.  When communicating the Palm Lending person even got details of my file wrong asking about the wrong $ amount or an account that didn't exist.  I got the distinct impression that they were so busy they weren't tracking what had been sent and/or requested by and for what client.  It came across again as disorganized and unprofessional which are qualities that concern me in a lender.
They did end up getting the loan through but communicated details so late we had to open a new bank account in a local bank to get the $ amount needed for closing wired in from our out of town bank for a cashiers check.  This because we couldn't get the final closing details and amounts until the very last minute.
I would not use these guys again.  I have not ever been treated so poorly in the process of getting a loan for anything ranging from a car to a home.

After 2 attempts to close a condo loan, I guess that the third time was the charm! Immediately after being contacted by my realtor, Jason Palm called and started processing my loan. I initially came to his office with documentation a couple of hours after speaking with him on the phone. From the start, Jason explained the lending and underwriting process, and his part in it. When I got the usual underwriting requests, he explained what was needed and WHY. I never felt harassed or badgered. I felt as if I had an advocate trying to get my loan closed!! And with the myriad of contacts he has in the investment banking world, WE got my loan through in record time...not months...DAYS!
