The quality of the door and opener are fine - no problem with that. The problem is with the service. First, they scheduled the install a few days in advance, but when I called to confirm it the day of install, they didn't have it on the schedule. Second, the installer put in a door with two damaged sections and incorrect windows. This after removing and making my old door unusable (it was in poor shape to start). Third, they failed to install the opener or outside remote - it wasn't on the work order, even though it was on the sales order. They did correct that next business day, good job there. After that things went downhill. I spoke with the salesman about the problem, he said he'd correct it. After a few days went by with no response from him and unreturned phone calls - and one time he hung up on me - I spoke with the owner, Jerry Kelly, about the damage problem. He said he'd look into it and get back to me, but that they'd make it right. Meanwhile, they billed my credit card for the balance (50%) of sales order even though I told them the door was damaged and needed replacement and so the work wasn't completed. It took several phone calls and finally a dispute lodged with the credit card company to get them to reverse that charge. In the end they blamed me for this problem, saying the dispute prevented them from reversing it, and that I gave them the wrong card number when I demanded the reversal. Funny, they had the correct card number when it came to billing. On top of all this, they did not get my authorization to make the charge in the first place - they just did it. Long story short, Jerry was unbearably rude in dealing with me on this problem. He never apologized for the mix ups, wouldn't return my calls, and continually blamed me for problems and criticized me for pressing them to correct it. No one ever came out to inspect the door to verify I was indeed telling the truth. In the end, it took several phone calls to the corporate Overhead Door people to light a fire under Jerry. Only after corporate regional sales manager or some such called Jerry about this did his attitude change - but first he griped at me about "calling corporate." Never once did he apologize for the mistakes, his attitude or his rudeness. At one point I offered a settlement price to leave the door as is and be done with it. He said "We knew you were going trying to make money off this!" I absolutely cannot understand such an attitude. In the end, a simple garage door took more than four months to get installed correctly. They never once offered an apology, compensation or anything. At least they called before making the final billing to my credit card. I still have not received the final receipt I requested. Summary: the product is fine, worth the price. Nothing is worth the hassle of dealing with these bozos, however. Go to some other overhead door distributor if you want the good product.
