Kyle Roberts was hired to be the General Contractor for our duplex unit. Kyle was very responsive during the building process but the build time was very slow and over budget. Kyle himself "accidently" overpaid himself by taking too many draws. But now that Kyle has moved on to new projects the real problems have come out. Per our agreed upon contract, Olive Constructors was required to provide 1 year warranty on workmanship and a 10 year structural warranty. Neither have been provided. Plus the home inspector found several issues that need to be addressed and Kyle will not answer my calls, texts or emails.

Fantastic! Kyle is super-responsive, honest, full of common sense and helpful. He has a great team and professional resources.

They did pretty well. They were a little slow on the draw, but overall, it went well. It took about 6 weeks to complete the job.

Kyle and his team were great at keeping us updated, especially as we had to actually be out of the country for most of it which made communication challenging. Nonetheless, we received regular updates from Kyle and any issue coming up was dealt with well and with some great input/suggestions from the team to remain reasonably within budget.
After completion, Kyle and his team were great at following up on a couple of minor issues which were attended to within days.

We were very impressed with them. He was very good about returning phone calls and answering our questions.  Very fair to deal with and I would definitely recommend them.

I wish I had another home for them to work on!
Overall it went very well.  They did a great job, at a fair price.  We are pleased with the work and would use them again.  We will try to take a picture and post it.  

 With any 'old' house, you are going to find surprises, like opening a wall, cleaning out a drain, cleaning old insulation out of an attic or replacing a column.  As such, the real judge of a contractor is when they find these unexpected issues.  That's virtually guaranteed to happen in 50 year old house.  Olive Constructors was honest, did a great job and we're very pleased with their work and how they fairly worked with surprises and changes.

My roof needed to be replaced, but there was some interior damage, also.  The first company that came out gave me a bid for just the roof, and since he was not a general contractor he didn't address the interior damage.  When Kyle came out (he was always prompt with responding and keeping in touch with me both phone and email- which was so convenient for me-he looked over the site, worked up an estimate for me, brought samples of roofing materials so I could pick a color that coordinated with my house color, and the job went great.  He has all the right contacts- and had the roof materials delivered and ready for the team to install in one day.  They cleaned up the area afterward.  The interior damage was repaired by another team who knew what they were doing- and had all the right tools to do it fast and efficiently.
I would recommend his company and plan on using him again. 
I also wanted a patio addition to my rear house existing slate patio- he brought in some guys who prepared, poured and finished my patio.  I still have to choose and purchase the slate, then he will come back and install it for me. I had a friend construct a back patio cover that was badly done- Kyle and  his team came up with a solution to not only fix it- but it ended up looking beautiful.  I wish I had known and given Olive Construction all the money I had spent on the original porch cover- it would have been done right the first time.

It went very well.  They arrived on time, stabilized the wall, got it level (it was moving up and down) and on the ground, and finished it as scheduled.

Kyle coordinated the professional engineer, carpentry, materials and accommodate owner requests during this project.  It was completed with quality and in a timely manner.  Kyle is an excellent contractor and I have used his services for several projects over the years from exterior painting, to drywall to framing.  I highly recommend his services to anyone that values quality services and a knowledgable contractor to get a true 'turn key' project completed.  Kyle is very easy to work with, professional, timely and no hassle.  If you are looking for someone to do a simple job or a turn key project, do not hesitate to consider him as on option.  I will continue to work with him and his crew in the future, I have no reason not too.

It went very well.  Kyle explained the issues with a leaking refrigerator ice maker, and then opened up the wall and showed us there was no problem.  Someone else probably could have made a case for $5K in some fix.  Kyle showed us how we could fix the problem with a small fan and a little patience.

He wouldn't take any money even though he was here for about an hour.

In the end, Kyle did a great job. But the trip was pretty scary. First of all, Kyle was the low bidder (of those that I thought could do the job). The initial inspection had 17 shortage issues. The chimney flashing went three tries. BUT, to his credit, Kyle ended up doing the job correctly and with quality that gave me no complaints. On the third round, he got down to business and proved he knew how to do the work and was willing to do it right. That really surprised me, I had thought he didn't know how. I figured that he was just new to the construction contracting biz and would get better as time went on. Your mileage may vary.

Kyle's team was fantastic and did a great job in just a few days. He was very responsive and a pleasure to work with. I would recommend him any time, and expect to bring Olive Constructors back in a few years for a back porch we are dreaming about building.

Kyle and his crew were punctual and worked quickly to complete the job. Kyle quickly bid the job and got to work. The contractor who had abandoned the job after being paid was asked to provide consultation on the "plan" for door installation, which was complicated, and refused. Kyle involved me throughout the process and we brainstormed how to salvage the situation. Kyle and his crew are courteous, hardworking, and professional, and cleaned up when the work was done. There had to be a price adjustment because the scope of work was larger than either of us had anticipated, but this was negotiated up front--there were no surprises!

The crew came and we discussed what I was looking or and how I wanted the structure to look. They listened to my requests, made some suggestions and the project took about 4 days including building the wall with appropriate trim, drywall and painting. I was on a tight turnaround because I was having a holiday party and they got the job done and it was perfect.

Everything has been great. They are very friendly and easy to deal with, and I think he has his customers? interests at heart. I would highly recommend them.

The project went overall went pretty well. We had some rough spots which is normal in construction; but Kyle is very diligent and made sure that his crew performed corrective actions in a timely manner. You could not ask for a better contractor at a reasonable price in Austin. He puts the customer at #1 and does whatever it takes to make you happy. I will surly use Kyle's firm in the future when I need someone.

Kyle responded immediately to my request for services, provided an estimate promptly, began work on time and as promised, provided an additional estimate promptly for additional work as requested, and finished the project on time and on budget. He was in daily contact with us, did several site visits prior to the work being completed, and did an excellent job.
