We established an installation date and he never showed up. I gave him a $3000.00 down payment and after that I began having problems getting in contact with him.

I am a patient, reasonable, understanding, accommodating customer. I am also apparently naive because for over 4 months NTBS duped me into believing that they would fix a shoddy repair job that they themselves had done on my roof. NTBS Improperly installed a wind turbine on my roof and smeared coating meant for flat roofs over some failed tar patches. Their job did not stop any leaking and in fact created more leaking problems where roof decking began to rot and water spots appeared on my ceiling. I understand that mistakes are made, i just wanted the issues fixed. They examined the areas and agreed that their work was inadequate and agreed to fix fully on June 11. Since then, NTBS continuously broke every appointment made to fix the faulty job that they had done. And never even called to say that they wouldn't be able to make it, or to reschedule, or anything. I had to contact them after each and every broken promise. I was forever understanding of every excuse that they gave me- but they all really started to add up to nothing. During all this time, every rainfall brought more damage to my roof and ceiling. In late August, I finally thought they had come to finish the repair job once and for all - to my utter disappointment, they had only completed about one third of the job ( and had a 12-year-old on my roof, apparently helping his father). I called and NTBS' president said there was a lack of oversight and they would be back to finish the job. NOTHING! I finally filed a BBB complaint in early September, and they didn't even respond to that- with 3 reminders from BBB. I know that it was received because they called a few days after the initial filing to say definitively that they would fix it the following week and that they were so embarrassed that it had not yet been completed. NOTHING done! Unfortunately, BBB is not on the consumers side so they allowed NTBS to respond to the complaint one week after the deadline had passed, and more than one month after the complaint was filed.  I also gave the company a personal deadline of October 7, set 1 week out from the notice, because there was absolutely no way that I could conscionably let any more water damage occur to my home because of NTBS' failings. I had to get another contractor to repair my roof.  I notified the president of the company (the person I had been dealing with all along) and the office manager - giving them one last chance to get it done or to even *respond* to me. I heard NOTHING. Several other roofers who came to give me a bid said the following: that NTBS' job was "in the top 20 worst repair jobs" he'd ever seen, that "they should be ashamed of themselves," and "what were they thinking?"
This company does not stand by their work and they do a crappy job at running a business.  I am now in the beginning of the litigation process to recover damages.

An NTBS, Inc. representative stopped by and offered to inspect our roof. It was discovered that we had sustained considerable hail damage. While we had received many solicitations for roofing services in the mail and on our door, only NTBS offered to inspect the roof. An estimate was prepared and the accepted. The completed work included replacement gutters and two flat roof surfaces that required roll roofing. The finished product is very attractive and may be why so many other homes in the area also hired NTBS for roofing services.

Hi I have had a terrible experience with an Angies List, Service Magic, BBB referral for this roofing contractor. They wasted 2 months of my time and delayed all contractors by a month. They were rude and made me do all the work searching for doors and products I have no knowledge about. They had me bargaining with the insurance company for excessive fees and in the end they refused to do the work and left us with leaking roof and doors from their incompetence. I have nail pops on my roof and lifted shingles and flashing resulting from their estimate. I tried to get them to put in writing what I was getting for my money and they refused saying they had other clients and I was too demanding for asking questions and needing my work put in writing after they promised to email it week after week. Extremely aggressive and when I called the other partners they refused to speak to me or return my calls. The Dallas location was deceptive in marketing and advertising stating they had BBB credentials for 15 years when the newly opened Dallas location is a single contractor who merely bought into the franchise. He is using the reputation of the Austin and Oklahoma partners business to sell his reputation of 1 year and No BBB accreditation of his own. Angies List,Service Magic is also using his other partners reputations in Austin and Oklahoma to get a service magic rating not related to him. Each location is owned by individuals who buy into NTBS but Dallas was a private 1 man personal company prior to last year. Very deceptive and fraudulent abuse of your referral services and the BBB. Beware as the DALLAS NTBS is not BBB rated nor does it have a reputation of being a Service Magic referral based on the Dallas reputation as this is based on Austin and Oklahoma not Dallas. You have a better chance of picking from a phone book as this owner is unprofessional and dishonest. Beware.

I called Jake with NTBS, Inc to remodel my kitchen and master bath. They were a referral from a friend. Jake showed up on time for every appointment, prepared an estimate and completed the work. I would definitely recommend NTBS, Inc to anyone who is considering remodeling their home.
