Came out to house, measured, said they would get back to me by the following week. Never followed-up, never sent estimate.

Spoke with Caleb via phone, booked appointment for 9am Tuesday morning for him to come out and review work to be done, provide a quote. On the day of appointment Caleb was a no show, hour went by no calls. I left voicemail at 10.30 asking for call back. Left another message the next day asking for callback to reschedule appointment. No reply.

Worked with Alan at Northwest Fence and Iron.  We were fixing our upper outside balcony and needed to remove the wrought iron fencing. It was in desperate need of repainting or replacing.  Alan worked with us on choosing the best route of either repainting or replacing.  Since we needed to have it removed anyway, it was cheaper to have a new one installed.
They were very professional and worked with us on the timing for installation since we were working with several contractors.
We would definitely recommend them and would work with them again.

It was a small job and we had trouble generating interest.
NW Fence made a fair bid and did what they said they would do.
However, when dealing with them, be aware of a couple of things.
The crew of 2 arrived and showed up in our back yard without calling or ringing the doorbell. They left without checking in.
If you decide to deal with them, be sure you get all the details right. Don't assume anything.
And ask them to communicate.

The service went very well. They built the fence to our specification and we were satisfied with the outcome of the project. They ordered the parts for the fence for us. The staff showed up when they were supposed to. I was not home while they did the service. We worked with Mark Miranda closely on the project. They completed the job in about 1 day as far as the installation goes. I never had any issues with getting in touch with the company or scheduling the service.

We were very pleased with this transaction, and the service provided by this company. It was easy to schedule a free estimate for the work, and the technician arrived on time and provided a written estimate within 24 hours. The iron rails were custom-made, and the materials arrived earlier than expected, so the installation was done sooner than promised. The installers were hard-working and professional. The rails look great! We are very pleased with the finished product, and very happy with the service provided!

We had Marc come and check out the property on a Fri in May to give us a bid. After spending a half hour or so taking measurements he said he'd have the bid sent by the following Tues. A week later he still hadn't responded so I called the office. They assured me I'd receive it within 24hrs. No luck. Now it's June, and I still have not received a call nor an estimate. It's a shame, but I will never use these guys.

Hired another company, showed up same day and completed repairs in 4 hours.

I was concerned at the beginning about the lack of precise details in the drawings and asked several times for detailed shop drawing before signing off on fabrication. They do no do more detailed drawings at any time. I based my ground preparation on the drawing and ended up with a gate that would not swing open wide enough to allow proper use. It was obvious that the direction of the gate swing (out vs. in) would have to be changed. NW asked for $400 to do it claiming that they needed to reconstruct the gate, move the hinges, ... I pointed out to them that the only thing that would have to be changed is two small metal tabs that the installation crew were going to weld on. This was correct but they stuck with the 400 quote expecting me to take it. I told them 'no', I'd do it myself. I did it myself after spending $50 to rent a welder for an hour. I did make assumptions about the gate based on their hand drawing so some fault is mine. But to try to stick it to me when they contributed to the error left a very bad taste in my mouth.
Beyond that, there was a comedy of minor construction errors that I had to have the crew come back and fix. Finials were the wrong size, a dozen minor touch ups were required, ... I could see that the crew was not given time to do the job adequately and was being hassled by their management. I think that they were perfectly competent but rushed by the company.
I like the fence, it wasn't a horrible experience but I would go with someone else the next time around.

On first contact, a great guy came out to see what I needed and make an estimate. Then somehow my job fell through the cracks with some of their internal problems. I then got in touch with a manager who gave me another sales person, Julie Ladner, who was exceptionally good. She was clear about what I wanted and was very accommodating. The crew installing the fence addition was most helpful. They did a good job and aimed to please.

It was a relatively small job so it was not a high priority for them, but they eventually scheduled the work and did the job.

The salesperson from Northwest Fence and Iron was very good and very competent. But I think a lot of it was, it was a busy time of the year. They probably over-committed themselves. The county commission changed their rules about my type of fence right before we did it, so it affected how much we needed and where it would be placed and that kind of thing. I had difficulty with Northwest Fence calling back. The initial visit was good, but getting communication with them after they that. They would send emails and it would be days before they sent something back. Then, when I called and spoke to that salesperson, I found out she hadn't checked her email because she was out of town or something like that. So communication was not that great. I had to initiate. They didn't call back, didn't call back, wouldn't respond, wouldn't respond...I'm pretty persistent, so I kept calling back. The work itself was very satisfactory. I wanted parts of the old fence to use for scrap. They had already put the scrap on the truck and were a little irritated that I wanted to keep it. They were my scraps.

The fencing on the front and the quality of the iron on the back was really good. They welded the metal on site, rather than bolting it. The metal is a thicker gage so I think it is a lot sturdier. They are easy to work with, get a hold of and communicate with. The price was competitive. No problem with clean up.

The two installers arrived about 30 minutes after their scheduled time, and began work immediately. They brought several sections of prepared fencing, the gates, and hardware. Several welds were required, as well as minor painting. The install took most of 2 days. I had them return to make one modification to a gate latch. They did that without hesitation. The work is excellent. The fencing looks great. I will very likely use this firm again.

The men started off ok, it seemed, then as hours went on they got in a hurry,,it seems there was another job to get to and I felt we were getting the rush job. They skimped on the concrete used in the holes, rather than fill a hole up with cement, they kicked in some dirt, at one point they were short of dirt, when I questioned one of the workman about it,he went to the truck and returned with a bucket of my dirt! Their tools for installing the fence and gate could have been better,I let them use some of mine,,,they were using a small ,(8-10 in),instrument for leveling and plumb, which was not the best choice,in my estimation...at one point, their drill ceased to work, they thought a circuit breaker was tripped, turns out,the ground on the drill had failed somehow and this prevented the drill from working.. When they finished, they left, simply disappeared,, with a fairly good clean up..there was no "thank you","are you satisfied?",or anything. This could have been the time to resolve a few issues... At the top of this fence or bars, at the front door, there is a small plastic cap that fills in the open hole,,,they left it open,no caps,,,Chris returned with them,,, I noticed they also took one of the keys to a gate with them, when I called the office to let them know, the office contacted the workers, who denied any knowledge of the key...it turns out 1 key fits all,,,as Chris pointed out when he provided me with one more key... At one of the side gates, I changed my mind on the placement of the latch, when Chris showed up to collect,I asked, would he relocate it for me,and he said yes,I have not seen him since, and when I called him,he did not answer his phone. I'll do it myself...

It was great. It was a really good quote. My neighbor just decided to go with someone else. The quote and the proposal was professional. The lady who came out did a follow up call to see if I needed anything in addition. It was all done top-notch.
